Not had much luck has he.
Think Townsend might finally have a look at Welsh? Or has he finished experimenting now?

He doesn't seem to rate him for some reason. But I'd be starting Welsh at 3 with Fagerson off the bench.Mikey Brown wrote:Not had much luck has he.

Re: 6N starting team
So thinking about last night and there are only 4 games I think until the 6N (2 league and 2 euro):
Has McInally done enough to nail down the 2 shirt? I think so.
Is Toolis now ahead of RGray as the preferred partner to JGray? It's close imo.
Is Pyrgos good enough to be in the squad? No.
Is CdP putting pressure on Wilson? Not so sure.
Seymour? Please give him a holiday.
Is Kinghorn showing enough to get in the squad?

Re: 6N starting team
Wouldn’t be too against that.
It was nice to see Seymour complete two passes yesterday but he has looked all over the place recently.
Hogg very won’t have played much this season so would make a lot of sense to at least have Blairhorn ready.
A centre pairing of Taylor and Jones could be terrifying in a couple of ways.
I don’t know if Richie Gray has played much, but if he’s in any form I think he’s too important in adding a bit of heft. He’s quite effective in the lump role these days.

Hopefully Berghan gets a nice long ban that rules him out of the tournament.

So we can flog Fagerson for 80 every game while Welsh eats pork pies at home? Yep. I'm up for that.

If they make it top entry then the shortest ban he'll get is 6 weeks as they can apply at most a 50% reduction. I don't think he deserves that sort of reduction.General Zod wrote:Your wish may come true...hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Hopefully Berghan gets a nice long ban that rules him out of the tournament.

To be honest, I'm usually quite harsh with what I think bans should be and if be going for 20weeks reduced to 16weeks due to clean record.

WTF is Fraser Brown doing coming out in support of Berghan as well? Claiming it was clearly accidental.

Both on SRU payroll. Cullen came our in support of Quinlan and that was one of the most blantant gouges of recent times.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:WTF is Fraser Brown doing coming out in support of Berghan as well? Claiming it was clearly accidental.

I am hoping we do Wales over convincingly so Toony isn't tempted to have a brain fart and call up Berghan for future matches.

Re: 6N starting team
Sounds like Wales back row could be missing Lydiate, Faletau, Warburton and Moriarty for this match. Plus no Ball.
Back 5 of the pack is an area we should have a significant advantage in at this rate given the form & availability of our lot.

Re: 6N starting team
They'll still put out a decent back three. Tripuric and Shingler are decent players and Navidi has done surprisingly well at international level. Watson is great and Wilson can play but I still think that backrow is one of our weakest areas.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Sounds like Wales back row could be missing Lydiate, Faletau, Warburton and Moriarty for this match. Wales have reasonable depth, more than we do, though they're missing a few star players at the minute. I still think that it'll be a tough game in Cardiff. I'd be happy to see us squeak out a couple of point win.
