Barclay for me.

This really showed what fine margins Finn plays at - his passing and option taking was superb today (especially for Maitland''s try), but on another day (ahem, Wales) none of that would have stuck. He's flinging it so far in front of his runners that they have to be right on the money. Top day!

Or Nige not penalizing Launchbury before the intercept.

Hope they don`t take the venerable Cup out with them on this occasion.
Seem to remember much fuss and suspension after it was kicked about the North Bridge.

He's a very good player, who will have learned some hard lessons during this tournament. Laidlaw is a calming influence on him. We've not seen the best of Finn imo.

That’s not news cat man. But here, because he’s one of ours I see that in reverse. Bit ropey, but capable of brilliance. Like today. He didn’t get away with that. He was excellent.

But aye... Rugby equivalent of pouring gasoline on a leopard.

Best game he’s had in ages. Thought him and Watson were bang on.

Jones creates something out of nothing for his 2nd. One of my favourite try’s of all time is BOD’s try against Australia in the first 2001 Lions test, reminded me a lot of that.

Reid and Wilson making 4 tackles between them seems strange. Stats wrong?

Reid I can believe but Wilson seemed to be everywhere today.

Was Laidlaw not absolutely fucking dreadful?

I didn't think Wison was that visible bar a ruckus with Hughes and passing from receiving kicks.

Laidlaw passes were up and down at times. He did ok though.

Didn’t think he was dreadful at all. A couple of his passes were a bit shaky but nothing woeful, and that was about it. Played at a good pace again.

Not sure on the official stats, so just going with a feeling, seemed like we had the ball for a hell of a lot of the game, that might jade those stats on Wilson and Ried.

I do Yes, he kept England in the game with that ridiculous chip kick, lucky to get away with the intercept ye were far superior it's high risk but against a real backrow it won't work

That chip was Hogg. Interceptions happen. Particularly after the ball has been slowed down illegally.

Everywhere I fucking go today there is at least one person sneering at Scotland... it’s that kind of smug “knowing” haha, wait till you face X, Y and Z comment. Why, oh why do people feel the constant urge to knock Scotland down a peg or two? Out of all the home nations we are the fucking last set of fans that need to be reminded about hubris.

England picked their team to smash the breakdown but they were to slow to get to it and were punished.

I had major doubts about Owens but watching live and on replay he was pretty fair.
Although I think it's a red all day long and he didn't signal a penalty so cares try should have stood.

One or two sore Scottish heads this morning? Your team's performance was just what the 6 Nations needed and bloodied English noses. They were indeed sent home tae think again and will probably come back the stronger.

The world is a slightly happier place after a win like that.

Fully deserved after a great performance from the team...and the coaches.

Big shout to Dan Macfarland who has the pack in a good shape at set scrum and maul defence/offence. The way I remember it Wilson did have a good game - or first half at least. Rock solid with kick off receipt, cleaned up a lot of shit and offers a real line out option. Berghan backed up his performance against France. And we did a job on the English at the breakdown when we realised Nige was going to let us compete. That was the game - relieved pressure at key points in the first 60 when England tried to get into their shape - which is very mechanical but usually very effective.

Chapeau to Wilson, I said he wasnt genuine intl standard a while ago but he fucking was yesterday.

Where did that first half come from? Not just Wilson but all the boys, yes the ball bounced our way but we fucking delivered, big time, fronted up to the english pack and put all their star players in the shade, havent been this happy with a scotland win in years!

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Morning guys, I hope the heads aren't too sore...
However, I'm sure that it was well worth the pain.
I'll be honest, I really hope you get to keep hold of the Raeburn Shield for a bit, take it round NAmerica this summer etc. It's a tough ask, but when Finn's has his mojo in place, he's the best FH in the world; you've got this breakdown malarkey sorted, with a good midfield and strong counter-attack. It's perfectly doable for you.

We attempted over 160 tackles. Although obviously those 2 were not on for the full 80.

Will need to watch again as I know I have a Wilson shaped blind spot at times but I thought he was quiet and his stats are pretty poor. Updated to 5 tackles and 7m from 9 carries.

Gray 24 tackles but he missed 1. For shame Jonny for shame. IIRC Hughes bounced him.

What I meant was that he's been playing for a fair few years against a variety of teams and has more often than not "got away with it". Yes, he is risky but the idea that he'll crumble every time he comes up against a decent backrow is based on ignorance.

And he didnt do the ridiculous chip kick or give an interception
