I'd give Fife a year on the 7s circuit. Let him rediscover his mojo that for whatever reason he seemed to lose after his Scotland cap.

I'd also keep Blake on the 7s circuit.

Problem is that from the 12 in Twickenham Hoyland, Bradbury and Bryce will all want to play XVs mostly (as they should) and Fife, Blake and Farndale could all want to push cases for playing 15s more regularly.

If given a chance Farndale could start to press for a game in XVs if given a chance.

IIRC Robertson was a regular for Edinburgh and beginning to push for higher honours then the injury fairy hit. Then he had Visser, Jones and probably Webster in his way. But in the main I think his injury was a major major issue which was a real shame. Tried out at LS as well and it didn't work out there.

I've wanted Glasgow to sign Fife for 6/7 years now. Wouldn't be averse to Farndale either now he seems to be in decent form.

I was expecting Blake's backflip to result in a typically Scottish major injury blow.

Was a great day to be a Scotland fan.

The Fijians were all cheering Scotland and were a great bunch of fans to spend the day with.

Noticed the Fijian team over congratulating Scotland as well. Top lads.

Great day at the sevens on Saturday but do I wish I'd gone on Sunday instead. Hoyland looks brilliant on a sevens pitch, a huge threat until he gets high tackled which seems to happen at least twice every ten minutes.

Wight is integral to that sevens side with his ability to spin the ball wide. Great to see that you can still play at a good level without top level pace if you let the ball do the work for you.

Cheers for posting that hp, it never recorded on sky.

Fleming did very well for his try. The whole team dug in well, particularly playing that extra 6 minutes.

I thought the extra 6 minutes would be the beating of them but I couldn't have been more wrong - or more delighted to be so.

So it was. Watching back it's quite obviously Wight. Not sure why I thought it was Fife.

I think 6:50 is my favourite moment of 7s ever.

Golly, Callum Macrae looks old.

Can someone make those few seconds a vine or a facebook or an instagram or whatever you call it.

Funny no one seems to have got footage of the last kickoff. From the sounds of Fife it sounds like Wight went for a wee grubber

He did amazingly well, he's become really strong in contact, he won several turnovers too as once he got over the ball he is not going to be shifted. Great wee sevens player.
