Jesus Rob Baxter is frustrating! Your backline is playing like utter dogshit so you leave all your subs on the bench, presumably because youngsters might make mistakes!

I've seen the score board, but how did the kids go?Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:12 pm Jesus Rob Baxter is frustrating! Your backline is playing like utter dogshit so you leave all your subs on the bench, presumably because youngsters might make mistakes!

It was a poor advert rugby wise. Conditions didn’t help. Linegar got very little ball as you box kicked most of it, but he put some nice passes in. Offiah just had to chase kicks all day and to be fair caused Exeter real problems. I don’t think he was passed the ball once. The pack stood up well but Exeters subs put pay to that and they started dominating the scrum and the just did that over and over again.Which Tyler wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:32 pmI've seen the score board, but how did the kids go?Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:12 pm Jesus Rob Baxter is frustrating! Both sides couldn’t hold onto the ball and there was lots of unforced errors.
Exeter were piss poor. There backline is about as dangerous as a fluffy pillow!

Ah the Harvey Skinner factor. Amazing how he's still Baxter's go to option.Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:12 pm Jesus Rob Baxter is frustrating! Your backline is playing like utter dogshit so you leave all your subs on the bench, presumably because youngsters might make mistakes!

Cheers, sounds... not great, and can just be proud to keep a full prem team quite for 75 minutes, and not look deeper

Will Wand looking good coming into this season. Joe Woodward taking on the captaincy in the second half a good sign he's stepping more into a senior role at a young age. Pearson again showing up well. All positive, rolling maul defence could have been better but with two youngsters at lock and on the blindside we were a bit down on the usual weight we'd have to throw at them, super soft yellow card for young Josh Manz 9 times out of 10 that doesn't even get penalised but I suspect the ref was annoyed by repeated offences before that.

You could have mentioned that Bath were down to 13 when Exeter actually scored their tries!Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:48 pmIt was a poor advert rugby wise. Conditions didn’t help. Sorry yeah tha was the scrum dominance. Second yellow was very quick considering Kirk had just come back on to replace the first yellow in the scrum.Which Tyler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 21, 2025 1:31 pmYou could have mentioned that Bath were down to 13 when Exeter actually scored their tries!Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Sat Sep 20, 2025 8:48 pmIt was a poor advert rugby wise.
