Turns out I spoke to soon on this, he's on short term loan until the end of Nov I believe, we could do with another decent second row as Cummings is quite limited imo.

I thought they looked good in the backs with Tovey at 10 and Evans at 12, expansive, I'm wondering where Matthew Morgan is going to fit in when they have Amos, Adams and Lane back, perhaps on the bench as I see Amos playing at 15.
I'm really not sure where Morgan fits into the picture once Amos is available. Whilst Nipper is quick on his feet and is a good footballer, defensively he is too often found out, and Amos is a decent footballer in his own right.
Incidentally, hopefully Tovey is alright following the somewhat brutal shoulder charge to the face he received.

He played on after that, I think he picked up an ankle issue subsequently and was stretchered off.

Of course he did, I’d forgotten that he carried on.

Ospreys are a bit of a joke team now. Absolutely outclassed.

Yup, completely embarrassing.
It looks like another season will stroll by as our regions accomplish very little (potentially excepting the Scarlets).

So the Ospreys have booted Clarke. I wonder if they have a competent replacement on the horizon?

Possibly harsh on Clarke, given the injury list. And the bigger squads in Ireland can cope with a RWC more easily.

I think Clarke has been poor since he started, the Ospreys have gone backwards when with the resources they have they should be the strongest region in Wales.

Fail speculation on the new coach is limited to previous coaches or a former player. Whilst tis tempting to scoff, they are probably right in that a big coach may not be interested in the Ospreys unless there is some significant investment.

I don't think they need any investment at all, they have a large base of talented players, fair enough they've been unlucky with injuries and Internationals being missing but they have the makings of an excellent team, any club coach would be interested I would think.

They need to do what they've avoided doing for years ie getting in a coach who is already good (preferably a Kiwi), as opposed to one they
hope to turn into a good coach (if they're lucky ... which they generally haven't been).
This will cost money but will be well worth it.

It wouldn't surprise me if they promote either Sherratt or Pugh to the head coach role.

Why change strategy when it's been so successful for them?

Yeah, it's strange how they don't seem to see the role as more important, Dai Young would be a good shout imo if he could be tempted away from Wasps.

On this topic, to paraphrase Holley:
Ospreys should pick a Welsh coach and oh, I've just noticed I'm one of them, I'm available, please hire me.

That’s a real shame. Hurts out attacking options considerably.

½ time. Three racing players each have more meters than the entire Ospreys teams.

That’s one of the weirdest things I’ve seen in pro rugby. I’d love to see what the citing commissioners make of it.

Some magical attacking from Cardiff, but defensive frailties at times.

Paolo Odogwu just picked up a 6 week ban for something (oddly) very similar

Truly bizarre. On the one hand it looks like Evans has gone full Bruce Lee and booted Thomas athletically in mid air. On the other hand he is jumping for the ball and the other player runs into his foot as he fights for balance.
