From my, admittedly biased, view Payne altered his line to prevent Visser getting to the ball carrier.Eugene Wrayburn wrote:You can't obstruct from behind.switchskier wrote:How is that not obstruction by Payne?
Mind you commentator thinks it was a penalty against Visser, absolute nonsense.

When was it ok to kick the ball out of the SH's hands?

Re: Team v Ireland
Hardie off and Strauss on seems a fair call. I'd think about Hardie for Barclay as well and let's start doing to Ireland what they've been doing to us.Chunks Baws wrote:It was "clever" apparently. But this all came from Ritchie flying out the defensive line like an amateur. I've been bitching about the ref plenty but we have been fucking rank. Get Horne on now and Strauss. We really need a ball carrier.switchskier wrote:How is that not obstruction by Payne?

That's another nonsense call from the ref I think but in our favour this time.

Or he ran his line to support. Doesn't matter. It feels like we've taken one step forward and 5 steps backwards. This is horrendous stuff. Guys like Barclay and Weir just don't have the guile to execute that kind of move.. play to the strengths.

Glad we got the try but how come that's no an Ireland yellow? Never seen a man flop over the ball so blatantly.

I will bow to your better knowledge of the rules, I thought that you couldn't stop someone getting to the ball carrier that way. At the time I didn't think he ran his support line but made the move towards Visser. My annoyance was mostly with the commentary.Eugene Wrayburn wrote:Or he ran his line to support. Doesn't matter. Get Horne on. Weir looks busy but he is bad at this type of game. Why were we running that from our 22 anyway? We're 8 points behind not 20.

I don't know who that was on McInnally's blindside but it was definitely a back and they had nobody near them. Jesus christ.. come on.

The scrum halves on the bench only exist to cover an injury to Laidlaw.Big D wrote:We need to get Pyrgos on.

Craig Joubert having a sly smile to himself on the touch line, he's no longer the most hated ref in Scotland.

What a waste.
They didn't get yellow when we scored then? Ludicrous.

That looked bad in real time. Worse than it does slowed down actually. Still expecting a yellow though.

Sexton milked the fuck out of that. Sat up moaning to the ref, then suddenly falls back clutching his head. Fud.

Red card. For sexton. Play acting is cheating. Hands go up to appeal to the red first, then he pretends his head is hurt.
