This is disappointing, poor composure all round. Wobblies good for their lead.

lol. So predictable and so wrong.
So Furbank does step in and not stop the ball from going wide?
Nope, but it’s not a one man sport. Healey analysed it spot on other than saying it was a 3 on 3 when it was actually 4 on 3.
As I said he wasn't the only one stepping in but if you're in the wide channels and you're leaving an overlap outside then when you step in you've got to make sure you stop the pass. Concede some ground but don't let the pass go.

Yep. Highly irritating. This isn’t a team we should trailing to.

I think that back and forth where the ball went from one 22 to the other and back again twice took the legs out of our forwards and speed out of our defence. Slade wasn't wrong to blitz, but he was left isolated as the fastest one up and with no second line sweeping around behind.

Pathetic display from 20-40mins. We need a big reaction in the second half.

Yep, it’s that simple. He should’ve left the man who’d just beaten Sleightholme on the outside and stay marking the two men outside. Best seat in the house for the try. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. That you singled out the man least culpable for the try…

For their last try? Either he has to get man and ball or he needs to tread water.

We've played plenty of phases, it's just stodgy.

In the wide channel. You must have been/are a forward. In the midfield you can fly out to cut off the outside channel and force the opposition back inside. Slade doesn't do that which is an issue. At other times Slade has forced Australia back inside only to find there's not enough inside cover.

We are clueless.
Defence poor and attack a joke.

Cool, losing to Aus, losing two of our best players, losing my will to watch this team.

Which team is at the end of their season? Did steak bearnaise beast them all during the week? That try felt effortless.

Looked like clear evidence the foot was in touch to me. Whether IFW used any arms in the tackle I'm not so sure.
The defence looks an absolute shambles. Attack toothless. I'd gamble and bring Ford on for Furbank and move Smith to 15.

Have to admit, I feel similar. If there’s not a major reaction in the next 25mins I don’t think I’ll bother next week.

10/12/15. Played to a decent level as a schoolboy and have tried to mark Simon Danielli at Roslyn Park 7s so I know what an outside back should do. Just because I disagree with you doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m talkng about especially when you’re trying to talk to me about the very basics of an out to in defence.
The irony being that you’re agreeing with my point re Slade for the try, and I was replying to Puja about the try in isolation so what Slade has done otherwise is irrelevant. Slade flies up and doesn’t cut off the outside channel so those outside him are f**ked as you finally say.
