Milestone of sorts. But we will have to bat bloody well in the 4th innings to save this.

Does anyone know Leach’s batting average for Eng this summer?

He must get miffed running out of partners..
Not a bad score given the conditions and their attack..just they've got that extra bit.

Think too many got starts and didn't cash in to be happy.

upside is that warner is totally Broad's bunny and is having a mare. Jofra has turned up as well.

amazing how much better Broad is when he is the senior bowler. Both openers again.

Now watch fckin Lambshanks and Sir twitchalot dash our hopes.

Pretty much the difference is the difference between Smith and Roy's scores...

well at least it shows some fight; Smith does get his fair share of luck....cue old saying....

Trouble is, in 3/4 overs the b-bowlers will be on.....

....and really, don't help Smith with overthrows....though fair enough to have a shy

yep, esp as Stokes seemed crocked. But Overton is on at the mo :(, pressure off immediately, unfortunately, ditto Leach. Very disappointing starts from them.

Overton over Curran another baffling decision.

KInda, though Curran is a bit of a dobbler truth be told. Good when its swinging. Wood is a big miss for this, and other series.

I'm hoping to reverse curse them, obvs

looks like Smith is going to take it to us and try and declare this evening. Needs about 100 I'd think.

unfortunately the back up bowlers aren't good enough- Leach needs some rhythm and to contain.

Root has no idea about field settings, does he?

so passive after tea, limited options, but still. To go defensive and ship runs at one a minute is a tad sloppy.

If we'd had Anderson fit, this could've been a very different series. Broad and Anderson opening, with Archer first change, and suddenly the only easy runs are coming from 4th bowler Stokes and even he's dangerous. As it is, we're making Archer open and Stokes first change, which is one too high for both of them as things stand.

We're lucky - we've got an opener batting at 4 who can take it on from here...
..made it to close,
Eng need 365 or survive 95 overs, Aus need 8 wickets.
Stacked odds for sure. :|
