Bugger. Could’ve sworn it was 12 and all our problems were solved :)
6ft6, 19 stone inside centre. That's certainly one way of shoring up the midfield defence

Mikey Brown wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2024 11:41 am I really just want to see Martin focus on being a tight-head lock. Let Chessum, Isiekwe and Itoje fight it out over who gets to fanny around pretending to be a flanker if it comes to it.
I think Martin looks fine at 6 tbh- happy to stand corrected by the Tigers gang, but he looks a better 6 than Chessum for intl level. I wouldn't go near Itoje at 6. I'd prefer CCS got the gig though, and interesting that Pearson is playing 6 for the 'a' team.
You are correct in saying that he is a better 6 than Chessum for international level, but that is very much asking the wrong question. If we *have* to play one at 6, then it should be Martin. However, what we should be doing is continuing our exciting new experiment that we're trying of playing a flanker at flanker and having the locks play at lock.

Puja
was merely commenting on mikey sticking chessum in there v martin. If there were an outstandng 6 it wouldnt be a debate- always opposed locks at 6, to the point of being wrong on lawes

as we offer no attacking threat then we could do worse...... Oh wait we already have.

Great finishing from the sweaties but the knock on that gave them field position was pitiful. Two players in a row shovelling shit.

Yes, feels like he should have played a game for his club. Or the a team. Calcutta cup matches are not where one should blow off the rust.

Midfield defence just disappeared and then Furbank jumps on the back of an already tackled man instead of doing anything remotely useful. Really poor defence from the backs.

Jeez. Some of the individual decision making crap.

And it's not the "youngsters" doing it, it's the "experienced" players who seem to make the same mistakes again and again...

How long until Slade gets dropped? Daly, too? Not good enough, imo.

The ball is clearly slippy, so why does Ford keep bulleting passes? He's been poor so far with those and a couple of low ones
