Yup
I very much am! I just hope he gets lots of game time!
Yeah I'm not sold on the 10 either, seems very busy for not a lot of output. Holding up the opposition rolling maul to stop a try isn't what you normally see from you flyhalf mind.
I assume Sela will be playing against Exeter in the Premiership Rugby Cup final.Captainhaircut wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 2:14 pm Is Sela injured?
Missed Sela, Pollock, Kpoku, Friday and McParland for a big chunk of this tournament.
How does a player from Guildford RFC wind up in Sale’s academy? It doesn’t bother me - just curious.fivepointer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 6:53 pm England U20 team v Wales 7.30pm Friday:

He was in London Irish's academy, and so left without a club when they went bust. Sale picked him up then.Scrumhead wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 8:47 amHow does a player from Guildford RFC wind up in Sale’s academy? Yeah Redshaw has an ankle injury. Sela also picked up a knock I believe.Slater582 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 11:46 pmI assume Sela will be playing against Exeter in the Premiership Rugby Cup final.Captainhaircut wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 2:14 pm Is Sela injured?

Ben Redshaw has also been absent.
There's some odd ones when you compare amateur club to pro club. Pearson from Buckingham Rugby to Tigers academy. Timmins from Market Harborough Rugby (the town around which most Tigers players live and previously some Saints) at Bath. Where they end up at school etc obviously plays a part but does make me chuckle.Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 9:08 amHe was in London Irish's academy, and so left without a club when they went bust. Pearson isn't the biggest lad, was it size that got him overlooked originally do you know? Good skills plus a bit of a growth spurt got him back into the reckoning.Epaminondas Pules wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 12:55 pmTimmins was MillfieldFKAS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 11:45 amThere's some odd ones when you compare amateur club to pro club. Pearson is more interesting. He was in Wuss Academy and got dropped. Went to Oxford College for A levels and got back into the then Mids Acad. Got into England U18 and Tigers picked him up.
Not 100% sure. The Mids academy guys tended to be good with size and see past it, so it may have beeb other things at the time. He certainly kicked on at Oxford, culminating in his England recognition.FKAS wrote: ↑Fri Mar 14, 2025 1:37 pmPearson isn't the biggest lad, was it size that got him overlooked originally do you know?
