EP will be a bit happier with Davies up to the bench.

Some changes, are these to allow a few players to play in the PRC this weekend?

I very much am! I just hope he gets lots of game time!

Otherwise pretty pleased with the rotation. There’s players I’d like to see but it’s a very competitive age group.

That Italian winger, number 11 is quite a player isn't he. Two tries early on and took both fantastically.

Entertaining game.

I like our 9 but I'm not sure about the 10. He is quick but he seems to lack physical presence. His attempt to tackle the Italian winger as he went for their 2nd try was feeble.

Yeah I'm not sold on the 10 either, seems very busy for not a lot of output. Holding up the opposition rolling maul to stop a try isn't what you normally see from you flyhalf mind.

Italy under 20s have started the second half well, England are going to have to work for this.

Not great really. Pretty scrappy at times with some questionable defending. Thought James and Hall were very good.

The Italians are no mugs and we switched up a bit in the pack. Raymont really struggled at scrum time. Sodeke put in another big shift. James likewise.

Hall the pick of the backs along with Bracken.

Bellamy is like you ordered Marcus Smith from Wish.

Why we persist with these two tens is beyond me! I'd also start Lilley over Allison. Otherwise it's about as good as we could be with players missing.

Is Sela injured?

Missed Sela, Pollock, Kpoku, Friday and McParland for a big chunk of this tournament.

I assume Sela will be playing against Exeter in the Premiership Rugby Cup final.

Ben Redshaw has also been absent.

We only missed Kpoku through suspension.

The attrition at scrum half has been quite bad.

There's some odd ones when you compare amateur club to pro club. Pearson from Buckingham Rugby to Tigers academy. Timmins from Market Harborough Rugby (the town around which most Tigers players live and previously some Saints) at Bath. Where they end up at school etc obviously plays a part but does make me chuckle.

Timmins was Millfield

Pearson is more interesting. He was in Wuss Academy and got dropped. Went to Oxford College for A levels and got back into the then Mids Acad. Got into England U18 and Tigers picked him up.

Pearson isn't the biggest lad, was it size that got him overlooked originally do you know? Good skills plus a bit of a growth spurt got him back into the reckoning.

Not 100% sure. The Mids academy guys tended to be good with size and see past it, so it may have beeb other things at the time. He certainly kicked on at Oxford, culminating in his England recognition.
