Also poor show by Hansen to complain about the ref after a brilliant game that he won. He may be a brilliant rugby coach but that was pretty sour.

It was great to see Hogg chiming in with great lines aimed at space. Looking forward to see how you guys go in the 6N.

Enjoyable test. Crockett's sinbinning was just about the best thing that could've happened for the All Blacks. Play like that next week and you'd have to be strong favourites to beat Australia, which would be nice.

Christ. What a piece of shit I am, yabbering on about getting a record hammering before the game. What a fucking game. I'm gutted. But if you're going to lose, do it like that, and do it to a team like the All Blacks. I think I would have cried if Hogg had made it at the end.

Hard to not to go in to what-if mode, Watson, Nel, ref was a fucking cock (though I think more in personality than his actual decision?) 600 billion forward passes etc. etc. but we simply didn't take all the chances that we created. It's a great shame, but really enjoyed it today.

Great effort to pressure the A`B`s to a close game.
N.Z. third try just rugby brilliance, Jones try very close second.
Marfo looks pretty nifty, Hamilton looks pretty unlucky, and can we get a team on the pitch next week.?

Just back from game. Fortunate to see post game speeches etc after player meals.

Few snippets.

Hamilton is in hospital.
Watson wasn't moving well at meals.
Seymour hobbling fairly badly.

Great game to be at. Looking forward to watching it back.

Didn't see it, but what had he to complain about? About 12-10 minutes from the end NZ were getting away with murder when defending their line. They are a bunch of cynical bastards but you play to the ref. Tough on Scotland to have so many injuries. They made a great game of it.

Good contest. I enjoyed that. Scotland needed to jag a few more points out of their early dominance. Could have been a different result if the Scotland had gone 10 or 15 points up instead of 3.

The NH-SH gap is about as close as I can remember. There's been huff and puff about it before, but I think NH rugby is probably overall stronger than the SH at the moment.

Quite possibly the best Scotland game I have seen in over a decade of following the team. They were absolutely heroic. You'd be hard pressed not to give every player a 9.5 out of 10 for that game. Even Seymour - that bit of skill to set up Jones' try was just sublime and made up for a couple of prior mistakes.

The real telling moment for me was I think when we went 15-3 down (could be wrong?). That ever so common feeling kicked in. I know most of you know it. I expected the heads to drop and damage limitation mode to kick in. A 12 point deficit against the ABs? With 25 mins to play? Especially when it looks like they're going through the gears in the second half? But nope. They took the game to the ABs and delivered a brilliant performance that they should all be proud of. I certainly am.

I said similar after the 2014 loss the ABs. That was the best performance I'd seen at the time. They stepped up then and they stepped up again yesterday.

I just wish they'd do it more often...

Without having seen it back I think even those who may have had shaky moments did something to redeem themselves during the game. So many positives.

Really like the Gray/Toolis second row partnership. GG was good off bench.

Marfo continues to surprise.
Rambo IMO is making a fair pitch to keep the job when Brown is fit.
Barclay was great.
Hamilton was v good off bench.
Price overcame the odd shaky patch.
Russell great apart from the dg attempt.
Centres solid and Horne as good as he's been in blue for a while.
Stuart Hogg. Outfuckingstanding.
Seymour class touch after a poor game.
Jones was solid enough but made a few mistakes; needed to make a pass orn2 and didn't and struggles a bit on D.
Bhatti had a solid appearance.
Turner did ok. Thought it strange not to keep Rambo throwing but they had clearly practiced Rambo at 9 and taking maul ball.

Fair play to the players, GT is asking them to play high tempo and they were absolute knackered after it.

Still too many missed tackles but it was the ABs we were playing.

Hopefully we have the bodies to back it up next week.

Hogg, Seymour and Jones is a great triumvirate in attack - they anticipate each other so well. Going to be lethal for Glasgow and Scotland for a few more years. As others have said, Seymour made a few errors (not sure fully fit) but that skill for the Jones try was outstanding. Add in Price and Russell and we’re well set when all fit.

McInally is so improved that with him a fit Brown we can finally say goodbye to Ross Ford. Great commitment over the years but think his race is run.

Adding some depth in the forwards - we were missing a fair chunk of our first choice pack. Just hope we can scrape a team together next week.

Yeah - I’m not sure Seymour was fully fit. Anyway, the lads played well - better than well - and made me review my expectations of their performances. Really looking forward to next week and then going down to Cardiff next year.

Yesterday was something special. Tom English reckons we should have got 2 more all blacks in the bin.

For what it’s worth, I thought there should have been another one towards the end, but can’t remember right now what it was for - I was swept up in the moment! Don’t think where Hogg was hit in the air was a yellow - I thought he kinda made sure he jumped into the bloke. However, we’ve been on the wrong end of those a few times, so I wouldn’t have complained if it was a yellow. Indeed, I do recall a kiwi looking slightly upset when I shouted, “that’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen in Rugby!”

Crowd were great as well. Good to hear “scotland, scotland” during the haka, and there wasn’t one Murrayfield wave. We need more tunes though!

The ref missed that. I have no idea how. He was looking at the breakdown.

Changing the subject away from the ref. Given how well Gray has returned from his lay off do we need to consider giving some players a full summer off next year? From the start of 2018 to the RWC in 2019 is pretty full on for players and I wonder if some would benefit from an extended break.

Fagerson is a prime candidate, still.only 21 but already 50 Glasgow games and 13 caps under his belt. We need to be careful he doesn't burn himself out in the long term.

I reckon they will get quite a lot of time off. Next year will be toonie tombola until the AI and then we will see a settled team go for the 6N.

Good show, good show. A real edge to the game and a real spine to the team. Looking forward to the next game.
Gerald Davies, what was he doing there?!
