I'm actually a bit annoyed we didn't hold on to win that now but given the thrashing we looked like we were going to be on the end of I'll take retaining the cup with a draw. Aside from a big brain fart in defence I thought Johnson was epic. Just read he beat 10 defenders, equalling the record set by Mish just a week before. Bradbury is turning in to a beast, I really hope he keeps developing. Darcey Graham is an absolute joy to watch and is going to score a lot of tries for us. So hard to bring down despite his size and has twinkle toes. I absolutely love how he plays with a smile on his face.
Overall it has been a disappointing tournament though and there is plenty to work on, especially the defence.
Not sure what to make of the dressing room argument and rumours Townsend's lost the players. Probably just social media bollocks.
The stories I have read have suggested more of a natural bit of anger as to how the first half had gone and that it wasnt working rather than a 'losing the players' type argument.
There was a guy claiming he'd lost the dressing room and his source was a family member of one of the players. I don't believe it personally.

For me players cannot trust TMO and refs and must be given the opportunity to basically force the ref to look at incidents of this.
They would have went down to 14 and not scored that try.
Didn't spot it at the time but looks like a yellow at least (although could do with some more angles). Swinging arm to the head?

I dont think I would trust us to keep it for 2 minutes in and around our 22. Given how the half had gone, you have the back yourself to defend from the opposition's 22. Thoughts?
I think the key error is Brown's penalty unfortunately. After that England always had at least a penalty advantage
That advantage felt like it went on forever.

Hastings has to put May in touch. So many errors is hard to blame 1.

"If I was a fly-half and I saw someone rush up like that I wouldn't have thrown the pass"
He at least remembers to say that Farrell is a good player. He's really got a way with words hasn't he?
Interesting how different his recollection of half-time now seems to be. I'll be honest I was totally ready to get on board with the idea they'd just binned the gameplan and done their own thing. I've been unable to really put my finger on what it is GT is doing with them in attack this series. Either I (we) got the wrong impression from his post-match comments or he's been told to quieten down about it.
Stumbled on this with a referee discussing the Farrell/Graham incident. I don't know if any of you can bear to watch this, I can't, but it might be interesting.

If I remember right, he just said that he had a bit of an argument and that he was frustrated at kicking it away and England scoring. Some people have interpreted that as them throwing away the gameplan but its equally possible Townsend said, "right, lets make sure when we do kick, we get the chase right". The attack changed in the second half but it wasnt like they were playing hail mary stuff. They still kicked plenty and attacked from the right areas

Yes but attacking from the right areas seems to be the total opposite of GT’s plan. The closer you get to your own tryline the faster and looser you play it.

I'm not sure that is true this six nations at least. We dominated territory v Italy and for large spells v Wales and Ireland. If anything, I would like to have seen us be a bit crazier again.

Maybe I’m a bit blinded by our lack of accuracy when doing it. I suppose there was slightly less of the wild play in our 22?
