Look, I can accept it's a left-field choice but you can't deny he didn't have a superlative game yesterday.

Finally got a Glance at the Itoje/Hogg incident.
Slow motion does make it look worse but that is some impact... No I don't believe it was deliberate and Haskell barely touched him.



Laidlaw would have been great to have on the field at that moment...

If you say something fucking ridiculous then expect someone to point it out. What I said was hardly an aside since it was entire post. It was not snide so much as derision because that's what that opinion deserves.

Let's accept for the moment that he had a good game (he did) and ignore for the moment that he was playing behind a pack that was utterly dominant (else we'd have to ignore quite a lot of other 12s performances etc) and let's accept for a moment that he had the superlative game you suggest (I don't for a moment agree and would state that Ford and JJ were the class of that back line, but I'm prepared to humour you). Now how do you ignore the utterly dog turd performance in the match before?

So ok, if we look at the Italy game, everyone is allowed a day off. I'm prepared to accept that however that was the game where England were having their party pooped by the Italians not creating a offside line so the backs were getting bad quality ball, if any. Windy conditions put pay to must off the kicks but both kickers were struggling and he did start to mail them at the end.

RE: the game against us, I don't understand how you can simply say that Ford and JJ were the class of the back-line and leave out the 12, the link man? That is naive at best. Look at the work Farrell puts in for Watson's try holding up both both Jones and Dunbar for one example amongst many.

At this very time, he would be my starting 12 for the Lions and I've not been put to strict proof as to why he shouldn't be.
