Its been a long time since I woke up on a morning with such a sense of expectation. This is going to be quite a match today. I think that the Weege probably have the edge over us today and will be out for some measure of revenge for the 2 wins we've had over them this season. There aren't too many sides out there that can come away from Scotstoun with 2 wins in a season. It is a huge ask for the lads today and will be the real measure of whether we are back in contention.

Simon vs Hogg! What a head-to-head.

Don't think either of them (Hogg and Simon) came out of that having enhanced their yell for the lions jersey.

A very gritty and physical arm wrestle of a match. Glad to walk away with the points and relatively unscathed

i tend to be very superstitious about my drinking of pints at TP when there is something on the line so i'll enjoy next week's more so.........it's a long while since we had a free hit out in round 6 of europe. especially since the french and english teamed up.

it would be a right laugh if we got more than just us and the posh lot into the quarters.

I took the plunge over on the Weege thread and said that the one thing wrong with Glasgow is its support, which frankly would be more at home at Ibrox or Celtic Park than mixing with R*gby people. But I have to say, despite some extremely cheap shots at the standing ankles of our kickers yesterday (Simon took one too) I like the side and would love to see Gregor get them past Leicester next weekend so that he and they have a shot in the quarters. (Hopefully they will play it as far away from their supporters as possible).

For us, last time we had a dead rubber in round 6, we got tonked at TP by Ulster in the quarters!

The weeg fans are something to believe, they are pretty wild but thats Glasgows mentality.

Im not sure what your moaning about re Murray and Zebo, last time I checked tackling low isnt illegal or against the laws, I get you guys felt he was targeted, he was, no doubt, it was done to put him off his game and it worked,

Late and low. And late on Murray to the extent of clobbering him after he'd put the ball to touch to finish the game.

I understand the targeting, I just think there was a little more in it than just trying to put him off his stride. And it nearly worked.

It didnt work, they lost by 2 and the strauss penalty for pulling him back at the ruck cost them 3. No problem with targetting a scrummie but going for a standing ankle is pretty cheap ( I didnt think much of Kirchners bullshit "committed" tackle on sweetnam either though)

2 good teams there yesterday, well played both

dragons at home this weekend, well, not home.... cork.

dragons (h), ospreys (a), scarlets (h), cardiff (a), zebre (a), glasgow (h), ulster (h), treviso (a), connacht (h)

not the worst run in. couple of tricky away ties in wales, couple of difficult home games against top 4 contenders. would be disappointed if we lost a home semi final position.

There is a chance that Casey and Sweetnam could be back. Both are up to full training this week.

It doesn't much help our chances that we've to go to Swansea and Cardiff without the internationals. I suppose it'll boil down to whose squad has been weakened most. And the Weege will not want to be clean-swept by us; that'll be ferocious. I think it is not nearly as comfortable a cruise to a home semi as some might think.

The XV looks fine, the replacements look like we are raiding the juniors a bit, but it will be good for them to get a bit of experience at pro12 level

All but 2 of them have had a run out in the 1sts already this season. That new bloke Saili looks a bit shaky, mind. Is he one of the Cashel Sailis?

BP by half time at Musgrave Park, but failing to kick on in the 2nd. Sweetnam is looking good. Clearly the break did him no harm.

I have watched it all and its been good in bits - but only small bits. A bit like Keira Knightly's bits.
