So the half-backs are: Fowles, Kennedy, van der Walt, Hickey and the league guy who's with the u20s. Scrum half signing on the way?
Sheil has been playing well with Melrose apparently.

Who is Edinburgh’s scrum coach? I really hope he watched back the Leinster game and worked how they milked so many scrum penalties. They simply took a half step left and drove everything through the Edinburgh tighthead, which Edinburgh couldn’t deal with. Ref fell for it every time.

I would imagine it's Cockerill, no?

Anyone know where Cutitta is these days?

Has there been some falling out with SHC? He hasnt fulfilled his promise but has looked the best 9 to me this season. Might be good for him to move on

Wonder if they’re looking at signing Finlay Christie..?

Or Scott Steele who is out of contract this year IIRC.

Christie is in contract. We missed the boat by not signing him after his performances for the Chiefs. He's about to start his first season of a two season deal with the Hurricanes.

SHC has a ropey pass that isnt getting better.

I think he has a decent rugby brain but operating under pressure his pass deserts him

Think he is going to go to AP and then disapear into the championship

I think all the 9s at Edinburgh suffer from having had no senior 9 over the last few seasons and no experienced 9 on the coaching team.

Who exactly do they learn the basics from?

The fact that Edinburgh missed out on Blair's last days as a player AND as a coach is baffling. But Edinburgh has had a long history of mismanagement from top to bottom. Laidlaw had Blair, then Laidlaw stepped up. After he left his experience was never replaced.

Weeg have utilised both Cusiter and Blair over the last few years.

Anyone understand why Solomon's seems to be trying to recreate his Edinburgh team at Worcester?

Nothing about Hardie yet. Barclay, Watson, Hardie sounds like Rob Moffats ideal backrow.

No idea, but it would be interesting to know

a) the agent(s) involved on behalf of Worcester and Solomons;
b) the agent(s) of the players involved;
c) the membership of the corporate vehicles parting with and receiving money for the deals

Solly is a SRU plant who is allowing us to have a third pro team with access to the AP all without having to part with a dime.

SHC allegedly wanted more money that the SRU wanted to pay. Which happens in life.

The usually very good offside line blog suggests the SRU were/are speaking to a 9 in NZ. So they may have spoken with him.

"In terms of coverage at scrum-half, Edinburgh still have Nathan Fowles [part of the Scotland Six Nations training squad this year] and Sean Kennedy on the books until at least the end of next season, while Currie Chieftains youngster Charlie Shiel is set to join the full-time staff next year, and the club is understood to have been in discussion with a potential recruit from New Zealand."

And I'm guessing a pay rise and an extra year for Kinghorn.

Hope he is getting his worth as he will surely be capped this calendar year.

Good signings. Surprised at Hoyland as he seems to be a bit out of favour.

He was already contracted to 2019 (I thought 2020) so is it a 2 year extension (3 year deal including 2018/19) or 3 year extension from 2019?

A quote from him has him saying he's at Edinburgh for the next 3 years
