Yeah - level 4th with NZ after 2 rounds. Not bad and a fair reflection, I would say.

On the matter of Perry Baker, he is turning out to be some 7s player. His overall stats were posted at some point and it was great to see nit just a speed merchant like Isles.

England knocked off. 14-12
On to Fiji I think. Tough ask they were rampant against the kiwis.

Semis and final will be too late for me.

Been a very decent start to the 7s season. Hopefully they can maintain it.

Almost all of the good players in the NZ team are past their use-by date, and, aside from one or two promising youngsters, the others are scraping the bottom of the NZ talent barrel. Given that Australia aren't much cop either, you really should top the pool.

Decent 2nd day. Fleming made a couple of great important tackles.

Gregor hunter called into squad.

I saw one against England which was very good. I would have given up 50 metres earlier.

Coach said that the the only downside was a lot of injuries so expectations might need to be dampened a little

Just watched Canada kick a penalty into touch after fifty seconds or so of added time (first half)
Then told they had to restart the game with a lineout..?
Restart/dead ball Laws different for sevens ..?

I believe it changed this year and you have to tap it first. Scotland got caught out by that in a game with the Sass, lost the lineout and gave away a try and the game

Watching the Convicts v Kiwis. Distinctly average. The way Scotland have played so far in the series they could take both without issue.

Both teams forcing things too much because their basic skills are letting them down. Restarts have been terrible, wild passes and general indiscipline.

It might be the curse of jew-bear though...

The Boks looked clinical against the Japs. They've been phenomenal this series and I can't see anyone getting close to them this round.

HT Sco 12 - 5 PNG.

Scotland looking a bit sluggish. Wee George assisted a lovely through the hands try for Marky R and scored a great try. Mistake at the restart gave PNG their try.

Loads of changes in squad may have something to do with it? For once they probably deserve the benefit of the doubt :-)

FT Sco 26 - 12 PNG

Not overly convincing but good to get the banana skin out the way. Not staying up for convict game.

You'll be relieved you didn't! Two early tries doors put us on the back foot including the 1st of 2 appaling hometown decisions. Horne got picked up and dropped from horizontal. Play on, try Oz.
Got back into the game then Robertson was yellow carded for.....err....tackling and Australian who had the ball. Game over.
Need to beat NZ by twice as much as Oz beat PNG. First non qualification for cup qtr of the season I fear.
