I like. Who'd have thought that something simple and stylish would be better than something garish and in your face.Raggs wrote:Since this has become the default kit thread.
Happy with that.

Good kit, weird posing.

ETA. That was meant to relate to the Wasps one.
ETETA. Although looking at it, it could just as easily refer to the Bedford picture.

Probably due to the similar marketing budgets.Puja wrote:

Not keen on the tight white collar bit on the Wasps kit and would've preferred a bit more yellow, but on the whole we've dodged the dayglo bullet at least.

The Wasps kit does look decent, even if it happens to look like just a kit, rather than a Wasps kit

It's based a number of older Wasps kits, some of the really old photos look like the shirt with the big Wasps logo. It's only the sponsors that really make it any different, and even the sponsors aren't too awkward.

I know the kit used to be black other than the wasp logo, and maybe a white collar. But in my mind I'm expecting to see black and some lurid yellow hoops. So this look is in many ways an improvement with the club colours now only really being on the socks, like Saints they're not good colours, it just doesn't say Wasps to me.
Mind, I'm not buying a Wasps kit either way.

Well if you want club colours everywhere, Quins have gone all out this year...Digby wrote:I know the kit used to be black other than the wasp logo, and maybe a white collar. It's not bad, though I'd prefer it was more of a quartered affair, it looks a little lopsided to me as is . I'd solve that by removing the daft striped part over the shoulder, lifting the blue and red blocks up, leaving more space for the brown and greyStom wrote:Well if you want club colours everywhere, Quins have gone all out this year...Digby wrote:I know the kit used to be black other than the wasp logo, and maybe a white collar. But did you see the shorts? They are also brown and grey...Digby wrote:It's not bad, though I'd prefer it was more of a quartered affair, it looks a little lopsided to me as is . When clearly they should be white, 'tis just a further mistake, as is no proper collar, shirts not being made of cotton...Stom wrote:But did you see the shorts? Really anything that doesn't look like this is a mistake

I wouldn't go that far. I don't mind different collars, and I actually prefer 1 colour sleeves.Digby wrote:When clearly they should be white, 'tis just a further mistake, as is no proper collar, shirts not being made of cotton...Stom wrote:But did you see the shorts? Agree on the rest, though. And we really don't need a change kit, it's not as if we clash with anyone...

For Wasps yellow on the shirt is quite a new development really. Series of photos through the ages here:

You'd think with a name like Wasps yellow would've been very much to the fore from day 1.

Perhaps, at least they've generally been in the right ballpark, and there's plenty of black wasps. Tigers are a bit further away from the mark.Beasties wrote:You'd think with a name like Wasps yellow would've been very much to the fore from day 1.
