Josh Adams is the most rounded competent winger in the squad but I doubt we will see anything from him.

I just don’t think Biggar and those centres will risk much trying to get the ball outside the umbrella defence.

Once the game breaks up he may still be on the pitch but my bet is he gets replaced for Daly when Russell comes on.

I’m ever the optimist and think we may be surprised by today’s outcome.

Like England in the RWC semi final, the Boks had their big and most tiring game last week. They made a huge effort to level the series and I think with their post-Covid woes they will be pretty wobbly in the second half this afternoon.

As you say, Adams is the most competent winger in the squad who often goes inside looking for work. Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t make a break from a ruck to score.

My prediction: 24-16 to the Lions.

Just looked back at it. Oof. No way Adams is messing that up.

Wow, first time I saw the wide angle. That is bad at all levels of rugby.

Very poor by Williams. Given Adams is pretty vocal I’m sure he would have been screaming for the ball. That’s should have been a try.

That said, the Lions composure was poor on many occasions yesterday. A few players let the occasion get to them at key times. I’m sure I’m any other game Liam would have passed that for a try.

It just gets worse and worse the more times I see the replay.

I don't even get what Williams's plan was with the dummy - Le Roux had committed early and was never doing anything but tackling Williams, so there was never a route for him to go himself. Just a complete brainfart - happens to the best of us from time to time, but a bit unfortunate that it happened at such an awful time.

I remember Mark Taylor butchering a certain try against England years ago by not passing. Sometimes players get tunnel vision. What makes it worse is the knowledge that 99/100 he would have passed effectively and put Adams in.

In one way it is frustrating, really frustrating but on the other oddly reassuring that Lions level players can make the same mistakes that low level amateur players or kids are making.
