Sam Cane a late withdrawal with injury. Does that help or hurt the Kiwis?

Was it Barrett to 6 and shift Papilion? I guess it depends on that replacement lock being any good. Seems weird Retallick wasn’t in the squad if he’s fit.

The sound mix is fucking awful. Could barely hear the crowd.

Retallick was borderline fit.

Personally I think Cane is not the best 7 in NZ, but changing at the last minute can’t be helpful.

What was with the extra jazzy things the choir were doing with the French anthem? Confused the hell out of the crowd; they couldn't work out when to sing.

Shocking midfield defence from France. Dress them in white and they start playing like England.

Have to say that I thought the penalty was harsh though. Thought it was perfectly legal shithousery from France on first viewing.

Yep. You don’t want to over complicate anthems. Cost them a try.

Terrible penalty against NZ. The French player was never making even the slightest attempt to take the ball at any point.

What happened with the break. Viaplay only showed us a replay of the cross field kick and celebrating kiwi fans.

I find it staggering that peyper is considered the first choice ref.

Meanwhile, I'll swear that the Haka gets longer and more overwrought every year. I've seen shorter and less overwrought pauses for effect while watching Nic Berry call a scrum in.

New Zealand looked like they were sending Savea in on a crash off the lineout ball, every Frenchmen in midfield went in to smash him and the ball was tipped onto RIoane who walked through a gaping hole untouched.

First Jordan and then Mauvaka going down like absolute footballers after chasing kicks. Utter wankishness.

At least the ref wasn’t swayed by the crowd.

France need to get tf out of 2nd gear
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Look a bit unsure of themselves - confusion over the lineout there emblematic. Occasion maybe getting the better if them a little.

It's understandable. They've never been under this much pressure before. I think the only other side to've ever been under this much was NZ in the final in 2011.

All fair points. If fr go in up at half time I think (hope) they'll screw the nut in the change rooms and come out more coherent for the 2nd half

All the NZ lad's shorts keep falling down. I'd be on to the kit supplier about the waist elastic. Been sold a dud batch.

New Zealand doing their best to keep the ruck speed up, as soon as it dips, the frogs are all over them. It will be interesting if the kiwis can keep it up.

I'm surprised adidas haven't seized a marketing opportunity - all black out your black hole.

All Blacks have blown about 3 try-scoring opportunities. A bit more composure required in the last 5 metres.
