Based on last nights game that’s not even a penalty.
Where’s the fucking consistency?

We worked hard to achieve nothing there.
Hardly throwing a punch and I can’t fault the dedication of the players, they are trying hard. But this isn’t a fair match up.

I like the way Blair plays but he’s just not big enough.

Their backs are strong as Forwards and we don’t have the firepower to stop them.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 4:40 pm We worked hard to achieve nothing there.

This is now embarrassing. We haven’t progressed at all. The only consolation is we’re missing a lot of players but frankly I doubt the score would be that different

It’s as bad as we feared it would be. There centres are making post contact yards at will. We’re complete.y outmuscled.
Heads are now dropping. Only only positive is that they haven’t given up
6 nations isn’t going to be fun.

Wales’s players just aren’t big enough. I’ve been banging this drum for two years, I know, but it’s true. Our players need to seriously bulk up. How we do that, god only knows, but the fact is, we are too small.

Also, the WRU need to be castigated for arranging this fixture. What on Earth were they thinking?

Re: Team for South Africa
There’s nothing positive to come out out of this game. Nothing.
We have learnt nothing, except our second team can’t keep up with the Bokke.
I do not blame Tandy. It’s not like he’s not picking better player available to him.
But between the WRU and the Regions, the game has been left to ruin over the last decade.

Exactly. Where is the development? S and C isn’t something new to us, so why aren’t we apparently doing it any more?

Utterly pathetic. Players tried hard but not in the same class at all.

Where do we go from here? There are no quick fixes, and we can expect more of the same. We know what’s to blame, but how do we put it right?

Re: Team for South Africa
We urgently need to get a defence coach. The head coach can’t do that job, they need to concentrate solely on the big picture.
Our key players need to go through a regime of strength and conditioning to bring them up to standard. We need to find a way to bring players home and that means money. The WRU are going to have to dig deep, or find a half decent sponsor.

Apparently organised for a missed game in Covid five years ago. How can you play an international against the double world champions when your senior players are not available and you denude your clubs in the URC to put together a scratch National side.
The current WRU should hang their heads in shame for organising the game and even more so for the shambles they’re creating today in their plans to emasculate Welsh rugby.

Agree on defence coach. Bring back some WRU funded development coaches and urgently recreate the national coaching framework we had until ten years ago. Not a quick fix but best for the long term.
Ask, beg, pay regions to focus on s and c.

Feel sorry for the Welsh players. This game shouldnt have been scheduled outside the international window. Wales would have struggled at full strength against this high quality opposition, missing a number of front line players meant they were always going to get a hammering.

But equally plenty of time to blow this one off given that we have been so bad for the past two seasons.normanski wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 5:24 pmApparently organised for a missed game in Covid five years ago. And green shoots etc from the last few weeks have been buried again. Fucking stupidity.
