The 2nd amendment established the right for a community to arm a militia against an untrusted federal government. Frankly this action cones about as close to embodying the spirit of that amendment as anything I have heard of from America in a long time.

Has anyone denied that? just accused him of utter idiocy.

From what I'm seeing online; this is becoming an increasingly popular opinion.

No. I am focusing on a culture that is completely out of synch with logic in the face of a media stirred climate of fear and the increasingly obvious realisation of some hard core institutionalised racism. That is the discussion that needs to be had, not the same old redundant gun rights shyte. I'll be a citizen soon enough, and I sure as shit don't want to get caught in the negligent crossfire of that tired record. I'd rather die peacefully in my sleep than shot in the back of the head by a mentally ill ideologue in a cinema complex thank you very much. This country has produced some civil rights titans and that rich, essential heritage should not be shouted down by the vested interests of individuals who feel that not being able to sling an assault rifle over the shoulder in a public place is more important than the clear and obvious fact that some people are forced to live in a compound as opposed to a country. "One nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

I shudder to think what arms a private militia might remotely need to in any way be considered armed vs the US government, it's absurd that an armed people could possibly be necessary for the security of a free state no matter how many times they've watched Red Dawn
If only they gave the same column inches and airtime to the black men murdered by the US police.
What about whites? I believe more white men are shot by the polis than black.
Under the same circumstances (broken tail light for example), that many black men are shot and killed by the police?
If that's the case, yeah the media should be reporting their deaths in the same manner they SHOULD be reporting the deaths of black men murdered by the police.
A loss of life is a tragedy no matter the colour of the skin but we're seeing headlines about how some black men wanted to kill whites at the moment. When a white cop kills a black man, it's reported so differently...if at all. I'm sometimes not aware of the instances of when a black man is murdered until I read the reports of protests about it.

around 63% of the US population is white (not black, Hispanic, or indigenous). The black figure is around 12%. Now look at the numbers for prison population and try not to quote a eugenics reference when processing it.

You're certainly right on the media front.
A black male is more likely to have contact with the police but less are killed compared to white men yet we hear about protests and that the police are racist. From the outside looking in it looks to me like the polis are trigger happy and not necessarily racist.

Trigger happy? That cop from the Philandro Castile video was itching to put a few more rounds into the dying guy. Where was the empathy with a dying human being? Where was the threat?
I realise the version of events the woman who streamed the events may not be entirely accurate but there is absolutely nothing to suggest that her version isn't true. The cunt of a cop was primed to unload more rounds into the man and his voice sounded completed jacked up.
Considering the other videos we see of similar circumstances, there definitely seems to be some kind of endemic problem facing US police and minorities.
Bomb material is fairly ambiguous given the amount of things used to create an explosion....but are the homes of white cops searched for anti-black, racist material after they murder people?
sometimes those black people are at a white person's house and armed with a bikini...
from the outside the culture and training is focused far too much on a notion of protecting oneself with a gun and live ammo, then again I don't have to do a job where people might be about to draw a gun on me, or any number of disgusting and/or dangerous things that might arise. and I'm struck with these police shootings that even after realising they were the target many police officers remained working and trying to clear civilians from danger

That is indeed the case. There are good people here mate, a lot of them, and they can see what is happening.

He does sound jacked up. Perhaps he's genuinely shitting himself from what happened before she starts filming. If there is a genuine threat (even a perceived one from someone who's possibly had a weapon pulled on him before) do you really expect him to have empathy with someone he thought was wanting to kill him? If he's an outright murderer are you expecting empathy?
We only tend to see videos of black males. How are white males killed by the polis? Is it the same as with black males? Are white males all posing genuine threats?
Joe Walsh, a former Illinois congressman has said " 3 Dallas cops killed, 7 wounded. This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out Black Lives Matters punks. Real America is coming for you."
He deleted the tweet like the chicken shit he is and clearly was too much of a coward to say what he really meant so he used coded wording. Real America clearly implies White America.
