Girls Just Wanna have Fun, Nothing Compares to You, Black Magic Woman and Tainted Love were all covers, as was the Elvis version of Nothing but a Hounddog, while Self Control was originally sung by an Italian named Raf. :o Who knew?

& Whiskey in the Jar is an old Irish folk song. Ok, not such a big surprise there...

Interesting. Reminded me a lot of one of my favorite old groups, the Platters, with the powerful vocals rising to crescendos. I guess that's how the Platters probably started out - singing gospel at church.

Great version of a Four Tops classic. Minus the orchestration, you can fully appreciate Levi's fantastic delivery. What a singer he was.

I just read the Hollies' successfully sued Radiohead for plagiarizing this tune with Creep. Never would've picked that one! :o

& here she is in 85, if no one figured it out. This song is one of those eternal disco classics, still very much in vogue on the Istanbul club scene more than 3 decades after it was released:

There seemed to be a lot of continental European bands around in the late 80s and early 90s as electronic pop music became all the rage. But, my god, those hairdos were awful :?
