One factor may be the more intrusive presence of the media compared with, say, 20 years ago. This sort of post-game spat in the tunnel probably used to happen without the public being aware.
Even after taking that into consideration, Contepomi did no good whatever by whingeing at the press conference the way he did. Mentioning his age, his language issues and the word bully came across as feeble-minded no matter how out of character it may have been.

It's too late to cite him now and it was only a pen on the day (and quite borderline at that). We don't have to bend the rules just because Contempini is a little bitch
Having meet Felipe in person several times a "little bitch" is the last thing I would categorize him as. He is pretty tough character and never moaned about things despite being in a pretty rubbish, Bristol, side that we're frequently physically done over. He's also actually a really good guy and he (& Pichot) turned up in the pasty vans serving food after leaving Bristol (as they went bust).
For the avoidance of any doubt, I don't want to fall out over this. If you say he's a good bloke then he's a good bloke and I should stop getting irrational at clickbait headlines.

Curry's was just a fair tackle, arguably a bit late.
Sadly, Juan Cruz Mallia's anterior cruciate ligament injury means he'll be unavailable for Toulouse for the rest of the season.
Tom Curry may not be off the hook yet. I've not heard if the Argentinian Rugby Union are taking the matter further.
My sympathies to Mallia as that sounds like a horrible injury. Hope he has a swift and successful recovery.
However, there's no hook for TCurry to be on, as it was an incredibly harsh penalty in the first place, considering he had less than half a second to entirely reverse his momentum to avoid contact and there was nothing illegal about the tackle itself, so a citing committee won't even consider it.
Awful freak accident on a rugby pitch, nothing more.

Agreed, and I admit that if I’d made a tackle like that back in my playing days, I’d’ve been quite pleased!
Yes, it’s tough on Mallia but Toulouse have plenty of depth in their squad.

They’ll only have 5 international fullbacks left.
Nah, only 3!
As an aside, Antoine Dupont who suffered a similar injury to Mallia last 6N in Dublin, is expected to be in the match day squad against Racing on Saturday.

No worries! Just seemed out of character from my experience of him. He may well have been a bit of twit in this instance!

Curry facing no further action. I for one am absolutely shocked. Cannot believe that with all the CCTV and witnesses we were told about that he is not banned after hitting someone. Disgusting.
Interestingly the statement says that it will stay on record for both parties suggesting that Contepomi is not quite the innocent party he made himself out to be. Again, totally shocked.
The reports I have seen mostly seem to describe it as a push, after earlier mentioning a more aggressive action. If it was indeed a push, the decision is perfectly understandable in my view.
