I don't think this will go down well with Edinburgh fans because the initial rumour was that if Hamilton signs for Edinburgh then Bradbury would be shifted over to Glasgow to give them the 8 they need.

Can't see it happening - he's a previous club captain and surely a starter.

Having said that Edinburgh do seem very well stocked in the back row.

More to the point I'm just unhappy about signing Hamilton. He's not quick enough to be a good seven and not abrasive enough for 6. He doesn't crack our first or arguably our second choice backrow and so I'd rather the cash was spent elsewhere.

I can only assume that there a few players who are going to have their game time managed in the run up to the World Cup and we think that we need a bit more depth accordingly. However only Watson strikes me as essential from the Edinburgh backrow so maybe not.

Makes sense to have a "project player" as RC put it to develop and maybe grow into a reasonable back up. That is project as in let's see if he can develop rather than he'll get capped.

That makes sense. My first thought was I've always fancied seeing a team made up entirely of back-row forwards, and Cockerill was finally going to make it happen

Don't think so Hamilton can play across the back row where as Nayolo is more of a 6 if IIRC.

Either way they look 1 player too heavy. I wouldn't be surprised to see Miller start getting some game time & Bradbury shipped on. Maybe another academy promotion as cover when the squad is paper thin?

In what way hasn't he recovered? He started Edinburghs last 6 or 7 games looking like he could finally be developing into a quality 6 who does the hard stuff as well as the fancy stuff.

I fear it would be a step back for him and Scotland as he is likely to develop quicker and better under Cockerill than he is at Glasgow.

Given Barclay is crocked and likely to be heavily managed and away with Scotland I wouldn't be in a hurry to lose back rowers.

I dont think he has regained Cockerills trust , didnt really make myself clear and i get the opinion that Cockerill gives people 1 chance and Bradbury blew it.
