Haha, you might want to look at it when it's not 2 in the morning big man. Surely you'd be better off heading down there on the day on spec and seeing if anyone is selling spare tickets in a pub or near the ground.

Cautionary tale on booking things whilst pissed after the pubs shut. After the quarter final Embra won against Toulouse a few years back, I stumbled back to my hotel and booked flights from Embra to Dublin absolutely fannied... I didn't live in Embra, was only over for the weekend.

If we beat England we'll be 4th regardless. If we win in Aus we will most likely go 3rd.

I know both are incredibly unlikely but its a huge climb for only a couple of games.

We have done ok out of the draws, although to be fair since 2007 when the RGs started to be a tough rather than tricky match there is only really ever one "group of death" with 3 of what would be considered the top 9 teams. In 2011 we had that group but we were always going to get that group as it was us that was the 9th ranked team.

It's a Scottish thing to be pessimistic. We've worked hard to be 5th but wouldn't surprise my pessimistic mind if we get NZ and Argentina/France/Wales which ever ends up 9th.

Aye. Fiji look over ranked. Japan at home will be dangerous but yeah avoid 9th ranked team and most teams will be happy.

It'll be interesting to see who is drafted onto the bench. CDP & Harley are the only back row forwards left. Having said that I think Bradbury has been training with the squad. No experienced options either way unless we call up Denton.

2 things stuck out for me about Scotland. How clinical they were - taking points on essentially every trip to the Welsh 22 - and how confident / mentally strong they were - there was no panic, no letting the heads drop, just a complete faith that if they went through their processes they would get things right and pick up points.

In terms of success in the 22 the contrast with the Welsh is particularly stark:

I was going to say that was one of our best 6Ns victories but bugger that, it was the best. We've had the odd good win in the past 17 year but all of those were just brief flashes of light in the darkness. This was the first emphatic 6N victory over a team that wasn't Italy and on the 80th minute you felt as if a corner had been well and truely turned.

I don't want to obsess too much over this but I just couldn't resist watching the short highlights again and I'm still not sure about the Hogg chip over the top. You can put this on to quarter speed and it's still very hard to see who gets their hand on the ball first.

2:10 shows the full incident and 2:23 shows Hogg definitely had his hand on it when grounded.
