Great result.
Weeg Embra on last week of regular season is going to be a belter with both teams playing hard for all the points.

After that stupidity at the end of the first half (and first half in general) and beginning of the 2nd I thought they'd fucked it. Fucking great comeback. Leinster treviso though....

Not totally sure they actually meant to upload the full game rather than the usual highlights, but it's here if anyone wants it.

Those couple of minutes before half-time are really something. JVdW's miss, Pyrgos's mindless kick straight to Halfpenny (after Edinburgh finally start getting some go-forward) and Bennet's wild pass of Graham's head. It's probably much funnier watching it back now knowing they win than it would have been at the time.

Oof! Barclay hauled off a minute into the 2nd half after getting the ball stripped. Was he injured? He didn't look it.

Sorry. I don't know why I've revived a match thread 3 days after the event.

Fuck it. I've already started.
Pyrgos seemed to have been rejuvenated a bit with the move to Edinburgh but really has played like garbage the last couple of weeks.
In insane number of passes hitting the floor for Edinburgh.
Scott looks quite slow and heavy.

Watched this yesterday via S4C.. Lot of exasperation (in Welsh, obv.) and "Claancee".
Feel sorry for them, don`t you..?
That should free up some cash, thanks to Ford and Brown for the years.
Ford has been a good servant, reliable and played hard when called upon. However pro sport is a tough business with no room for sentiment and when you have a limited budget the money can probably be better spent elsewhere.
Don't feel that we ever saw the best of Brown. Thought that he was going to be excellent when playing fir the U20s but never really got a shot at full-back, which I think was his best position and would have allowed him a bit more space to pick him lines.
Dues this mean that Hoyland is staying?

Agree on Ford and Brown. Really like both of them.
Seems odd to lose SHC, Fowles and Kennedy in such a short period. Is there a plan there? I thought Kennedy's service was pretty handy.

Have seen a few queries elsewhere about Kennedys attitude. Unfair to comment without knowing more but if he can't get ahead of Fowles then not renewing is the correct move.

Pyrgos, Shiels and Groom seems a reasonable plan, with no call ups particularly likely and still space for a youngster to displace one of them.
I've heard comments about Kennedy being a bit chippy, but I thought that was good for a scrumhalf.

Out for the season I think. He (subject to the backrow - cos who knows?) is the only change to make that Edinburgh's best possible team

Not sure why you'd get rid of Brown. Perfect club man and hugely underrated player imo.
I'd have got rid of Hoyland well before Brown. Edinburgh don't exactly have depth in the back 3.

Ritchie can't even get into the match day squad at the minute, the backrow is so strong. Ulster team looks reasonable, though I don't think that I've seen Stockdale at full back before.
(15-9): J Stockdale; R Baloucoune, L Marshall, S McCloskey, R Lyttle; B Burns, J Cooney;
(1-8): E O’Sullivan, R Herring, M Moore, I Henderson (Capt), K Treadwell, N Timoney, J Murphy, M Coetzee;
Replacements: J Andrew, A Warwick, R Kane, A O’Connor, S Reidy, D Shanahan, P Nelson, A Kernohan
Munster team for the trip to Treviso looks like a bit of rotation though. Not helpful.
Mike Haley; Darren Sweetnam, Sammy Arnold, Dan Goggin, Shane Daly; JJ Hanrahan, Alby Mathewson; Jeremy Loughman, Rhys Marshall, Stephen Archer; Fineen Wycherley, Billy Holland (C); Jack O’Donoghue, Chris Cloete, Gavin Coombes.
Replacements: Kevin O’Byrne, Liam O’Connor, Ciaran Parker, Darren O’Shea, Dave O’Callaghan, Neil Cronin, Bill Johnston, Alex McHenry.

Its mental when you consider Glasgow is still giving caps to Fusaro, good club man but Hamilton, Richie would be a step up for him
Kinda hoping that Hamilton ends up along the M8

Hamilton is crap. Superb against NZ but everyone played the game of their career back then.

Looks like Embra have fked their season. Weeg will need the points next week too (I can’t see Weeg winning in Dublin today nor if they have to return in the play-offs).
Suspect the Embra players are a bit jaded - they haven’t had a rest since the end of the 6N.
