I thought hoyland did well in the first few games

Quelle surprise! Agen will have their work cut out staying in the Top14.

Just a reminder for those who, like me, want something to stream on their phone as they enjoy a rich and thoroughly enviable social life

I have a feeling this ref doesn't know too much about the scrum.

Apart from Graham, Ritchie and Nel that appears to be pretty much our strongest team. Coming off European action where Munster had two big games we should be hoping for a victory.

Really didn't know you could win a penalty by leaping into another players arms like that.

That last maul of the half was called very fast.
Edinburgh will get a deserved kicking at half time.

Whilst it's good that Schoeman signed a new deal he is still prone to the odd hotheaded moment. Edinburgh score two good tries, the kick off doesn't go ten and is caught by their lock and he concedes the penalty by throwing him to the ground. Just stupid.
Some decent stuff though. Kinghorn with some nice interventions.

Looks like a very good win from the score. Sounds like Taylor will be one to watch.

I see that Marfo is off. Weird career that he's had. From nowhere to first choice and international to maybe 4th or 5th choice for Edinburgh.

Yup. I don't think Marfo ever "had" it. He came in during a LH crisis and held his own at international level. Most of us hoped that would kick-start his career but it's never happened.

I can't remember even seeing him play for Edinburgh since then.

He had extreme Ryan Grantitis. LHP with a very quick purple patch then faded a way. His was a 3-4 month patch compared to Ryan Grants 2 year purple patch.

Some interesting selections in the back 3. Hoyland at fullback with Graham on the wing feels the wrong way around to me. Also a bit surprised to see Farndale starting. Is he finally about to deliver on some of that promise? Thought that Blain was going to get these sort of games.

Game is on here if anyone is interested. Edinburgh with the best of it so far but only 3-0 up. Hickey slipped when attempting his first penalty.

Well that was pretty dismal viewing. Felt like we could be out there now and still wouldn't have scored. The big runners struggled to make dents and there was no real invention in the backline. Quite fed up of seeing Graham take crash balls too, game though he is.
Still, a win is a win. Thought that they'd blown it when given a penalty on the 22 with a dominant scrum, 6 minutes left and four points deficit they chose to take three.

Well that’s this game over. But fair enough, I’ve wanted to see these leading elbows removed from the game for years and they finally seem to be cracking down on it.
Always hard for both teams in a sense when there’s an early red like this.

If Shiel and Crosbie can play like that against top teams I’d be really hopeful for them pushing on to Scotland at some point.
