Am I alone? I would be so fed up if that happened to Edinburgh/Glasgow/Scotland.
Yeah - was probably just a penalty and therefore a penalty try. He should have passed it anyway!
7 points and the opponent getting a YC glossed after what utterly shit decision making that was from Scott. The support lines weren't ideal but Groom would have 99% gone over cleanly if given the pass.

Rationale on resting Scott & Bennet on their last chance to claim a 6 nations spot? I guess it was a long-shot anyway and they seem to have played quite a lot.

both listed as injured. Cockerill doesn't do rotation really. He has dropped the shit 9 and given Sheil a start, which is something. Bit inflexible and set in his ways is Cockerill

Just down as unavailable, not necessarily injured (though they probably are). Just hope that Scott hasn't suffered another concussion and that they're taking the cautious approach given his history.
Shiel gets a pretty good pack to make his first start behind.

For a mid-6 nations match, that’s a pretty strong bench. Pleasing.

unavailable list in order is
David Cherry, Mark Bennett, Matt Scott, Jack Blain, Fraser McKenzie, Stan South, Darcy Graham, WP Nel, Rory Sutherland, Stuart McInally, Ben Toolis, Jamie Ritchie, Hamish Watson, Magnus Bradbury, Blair Kinghorn
- that sequence suggests very strongly that all up to and including Graham are injured, the rest retained by scotland

That was a struggle to watch. Not been a great few weeks for entertainment as a Scottish rugby follower.

Was listening on the radio. Sounded like an advert for summer rugby.

Agreed that was Edinburgh's worst performance of the 3 but Edinburgh have just won 13 match points whilst conceding 1 against their biggest rivals for the play offs/big cup.
Very good string of games.

With the italian teams not able to fulfill home fixtures that’s 3 points Munster lose so Edinburgh have no excuses for not going for it.

I’m not sure, perhaps I over read the press release from this weekend but the shitty Mexican beer flu isn’t going away
Munster just got a big 5pointer so it’s going to be a cracking run in

Not sure how much he's actually appeared for Embra, but the young prop Stanley goes to Glaws with immediate effect.

I think that is a sign that RC and co are pleased with Winning. He looks a decent prospect.

I think he's on record as saying that he hates Stanley more than he loves Winning.

I hope that he goes on to get caps. Could be the best opportunity for many of us to see what Winning looks like in a Scotland jersey.

Bizarre. Cockerill says they have been keeping tabs on him. Who? Are we really keeping tabs on 17 year olds all round the world?

Do I detect a hint of scepticism re. South African Rugby`s youth "development" programme.?

Could be a Leinster - Edinburgh final (in Dublin no doubt!). I think that’s probably fair enough, but if there were more time it would be good to see some sort of play-offs.
Cheetahs and Kings will have the Currie cup by then - if super rugby is scrapped for the season, the Currie cup could return to its old glory days as the centrepiece of domestic SA rugby, only with black people allowed to join in and even attend matches this time.
A bit off-topic, but I also think this whole Covid shenanigans may result in at least 2 more SA teams joining the pro 14/ 16. I know the Sharks have been looking, but also heard the next most interested were the Blou Bulls.

Here’s a wee story about the lad joining from Suid Afrika...

Good luck to the lad. Hope he’s already started his 5 years, as I fear this shit might go on for some time.
