horror show so far again. YJB runs out Root and then out to a terrible shot, then Buttler and Livingstone poor. 93-5 against a very weak Sri Lanka.

These guys are shot.

Summut not right - same as other sports, it's seems non-stop these days, and same big names juggling between formats.
Still a chance with Stokes & Ali out there but not good showing.

Quite a spectacular fall from grace. From being one of the pre tournament favourites to abject also rans is some slide.

Means a cull I'd imagine, really really bad. I don't they've ever known what their best bowling side is for these conditions- can't explain away the abject batting tbh when other sides have been smashing it all over the shop.

The speed of decline is quite something. These arent bad players but to have collectively completely lost form and confidence is hard to understand.

It's almost as if there is a documented and noted trend of him being absolutely amazing in English conditions while not being half the player anywhere else and worst of all in the subcontinent. I don't know how this is a surprise to the selectors, considering it's been shown over and over and over again.

Yeah, I noted that earlier. His (admittedly test) stats in England and abroad must represent the biggest delta of any international player.

putting India in seems like the definition of madness. Our MO before this tournie has been to chase.....but our bowlers are old, not very good and its effin hot.

Bowlers did their bit. Currently the batsmen are doing their best to fritter away the advantage.

Portents not good, mind you the day does end in a 'y' :(
Surely there's a lose-deduction as well as win-bonus built in.

No replication of RWC finalists then, good to share things around.
India storming along all tournament and as homies should be favourites.Oz have some triffic quicks though..and Maxwell..so Ind. will be careful in their pitch selection

Head gets another final ton v. Ind., in addition to a great catch earlier to remove opener Rohit.
Looks like the golden-ball is going down under again for the 6th. time, which is pretty good going tbf. :|

Hazzzaaaah ! 31 off 7 the way to go.
Brook & Salt's ton keep Buttler's boys in the Windies T20 series.
Looked unlikely tbf.

Two apiece now in the 5-match T20 series after a record knock by Eng. at the LaraStad.
Back-to-back tons by Salt, who was really peppering the boundary.

Stuart Hooper named director of cricket operations at the ECB. Weird choice, considering his previous experience in management is failing upwards for several seasons at Bath, who immediately improved upon his departure. Hopefully he's learned many valuable lessons and will do a bit better in cricket.
