Not your post Puja.
It was the irony behind the ‘crap touted’ comment.

Whatever anyone has to say about the style of play, I don't think it can be denied that the current regime are the best selectors that England have ever had. Bashir is the latest in a line of decisions where a selection looks wild, hopeful, and desperate, and every time McCullum et al have been proven right.
I especially like that we haven't gone with our usual trick in touring India of picking the two steadiest trundlers of spin in the County Championship - the likes of Batty. Bess, Dawson, Tredwell - who just take up a space in the XV for a few tests, get a couple of wickets and then go home without having made any impact on selectors minds, but have instead skipped over the never-will-bes in favour of actual, dangerous, talent. Leach went into this series guaranteed a place in the standard XI when we get back to pace pitches, mostly just by default than because any opposition would be scared of him. Now, he faces a real fight on his hands against Hartley, Bashir, and Ahmed.

There’s truth in irony

. Vaughan has been touting crap for a long while now- he’s just grumpy because Stokes looks like being a better skipper than him. Not sure what your beef is tho.

shame we shipped so many for the last 3 wickets
Old Pope only been blessed once this series so far- he's a poor starter.

In the balance now - just need Crawley/Root to keep clocking up
the lead. Ind seem content to keep a lid on it rather than going for it.

Stokes is special - not sure if he'll do a great deal with the ball in the future though. Classy India have put this to bed now.

Jimmy got his 700th wicket....root 84. Rest a procession. Shame....tbh we were in a position to win the 1st four, but didn't and that's what counts!

A true great passes..
Close to unplayable on wet pitches in they uncovered days,
and unique quickish style for a spinner.Could tie an end up when needed too.RIP Deadly.
Fond memories of a few great series wins with him at the fore.

One of my favourite cricketers, mostly because he was brilliant but also didn't look like sportsman at all
