No doubt the UK government is preparing their sternest possible finger-wagging, now that an independent commission has confirmed Israel is committing crimes against humanity. I don't think Israel are quite prepared for the serious expressions that our government ministers will adopt, nor the sober and grave tones of voice.

Netanyahu, however, claims that Israel is only being painted as the bad guys because of high levels of Muslim immigration into Western Europe, which have resulted in governments being bullied into supporting Palestine by the sheer political force of that population (6% in UK, 10% in France, 6% in Germany, 2% in Ireland).

Starmer must keep up the pretence that there is no genocide otherwise they would be legally obliged to do things. So however 'intolerable' the situation in Gaza is, Starmer will continue to tolerate it. Because he just means it's intolerable for the Gazans.
