I think we'll win, but it may not be by many. The duel of the hookers will be key. I've a very high regard for Ken Owens, and Julian Marchand is a tremendous competitor.
A fascinating match awaits and may the better team win!
This seems fair comment. France are a good side and will be very difficult to beat. Some of their handling is truly beautiful.

France are favourites, but we still have a good chance.

I just want a good game with no cards..
I want to win, any way will do. The French can pick up as many cards as they like. ;)

Thought you jammy bastards might find this stat interesting, if it hasn't popped up already.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Certainly seems to align itself very well with Lions tours.

Demonstrating that rankings are largely meaningless and also that Wales traditionally do very badly in the Autumn Internationals.

better sides perhaps, 'tis a pretty good record against England in the 6N this last decade, they've won almost half the matches, and the only real scoreboard beatings belong to Wales with the game just gone and the 30-3 trashing

This is comedy gold:

I love how the net has to be cast back before the Six Nations, back to 1990 (but not any further back) in order to pick up enough English grand slams. Quality journalism from the Telegraph's chief rugby writer.

I had a chuckle at that as well. Cleary is an awful journalist who knows how to keep his right wing Brexiteer readership happy. How the 2005 GS doesn’t make the top five is beyond belief, and just reflects that he is sniffing those sour grapes. It’s no more useful than the 10 hardest men in welsh rugby features that the fail drag up every few months to fill space.

Yep, sour grapes and clutched straws.

Still, I probably shouldn't read this. Makes me think the 2021 slam is already in the bag. I'm optimistic but not completely mental.

I always think of Mick Cleary as an abbreviated Richard!

I stopped taking the Telegraph seriously years ago, ever since it basically became the UKIP oversized tabloid.

Le Crunch has come. If we do manage to do it, it will be one of the greatest come back Grand Slams of all time. Eat your heart out Cleary.

If we do win I’ll subscribe to the Telegraph just to take the piss out of that tosser. He’s been a crap and bitter journalist for a long time.

You can get a free month’s trial which is a better way of upsetting the Telegraph. Just when they think they have another paying reader you just cancel.

Is Cleary Irish by the way? That may account for his obnoxious ways.

It was such a transparent and pathetic attempt to shore up wounded egos that I had to laugh.

(I'd prefer journalism to be more honest, of course . . . not that the Telegraph would be the first place to look for that.)

Back to the game! I think that France could have won last week if Galthié's game management had been better. Key players were tiring in the second half, yet strangely enough, three players, Jelonch, Serin and Ntamack stayed on the bench and may well have made a difference, but that's just speculation. The game is there to be won for France this evening, and it's bound to be extremely physical and if Galthié employs his "finishers" from the bench then we'll win by 8 or 10! Allez les bleus!

You’re right, the game is there to be won but the colours on the trophy will be rouge not bleu!

Come on Wales finish in style.

Clearly a wind up, however I will bite. The wales grand slams come in an era which, in my view, is far stronger and far more competitive. The English ones came when they were dominant and the other sides were incredibly inconsistent/ very poor. Most of the English grand slams are devalued for me because of this.

I wonder how dismissive the media will be of Scotland's win since they played so much of the match v 14 men?

What? They got away with 2 red cards. Scotland were shit and still scored 50. Italy are just terrible.
