He's still young and should develop but I haven't seen anything from him that has especially stood out. There just aren't many other options out there at the moment.Cameo wrote:Really? Not seen the stats but I feel his footwork gets him quite a few metres after the initial tackler. Be nice if he was BV size but I think he can be a good option.Big D wrote:I thought he looked pretty underpowered at times. 1st choice 8 by default more than because he is standing out imo.Cameo wrote:Kind of like an old schools game against Ireland. We played really well and dominated for 30 mins but couldn't score. After that we struggled to get the ball or get turnovers.
I'm not too down about the team though.
P.S. Happy with Matt Fagerson. He has carried well the last two matches. He's first choice 8 for me.

Re: Autumn Squad
Did anyone else think Ireland were guilty of a lot of unpunished high tackles? There were a couple of borderline hits but a number of the "seatbelt" tackles seemed to be going unpunished as well as a few neck rolls at the ruck. Aki in particularly seemed to be tackling with one arm at stomach level and the other wrapping around the neck / collarbone

Eddie O'Sullivan talks quite a lot about Scotland and our defence here from about 22 minutes.

please do not give the time of day to that little shit. Never ever forgive him for accusing Wagga of deliberately choking O'Gara. Wagga was nowhere near O'Gara's neck and RoG eventually later admitted that. O'Sullivan has never apologised for that defamation or retracted it. I rarely hold grudges, but make an exception for that little shameless turdMikey Brown wrote:Eddie O'Sullivan talks quite a lot about Scotland and our defence here from about 22 minutes.

Fair enough. I can't say I remembered that was him. I was just interested to hear an outsider's perspective on the way we defend.
Did anything actually come of the Hines incident? Feels like a lifetime ago.

Next up in dossing-away-the-last-few-hours-of-the-work-week, a much, much more positive take on the Ireland game, which maybe I needed. Not sure I'm buying all of it but I found it interesting.

I was less negative than most about the Ireland game than most but I think he runs away with himself a bit with the optimism in that video. We were very good for 30 mins but that's nothing new. Getting points from it and keeping it up are the hard parts.Mikey Brown wrote:Next up in dossing-away-the-last-few-hours-of-the-work-week, a much, much more positive take on the Ireland game, which maybe I needed. Exactly, I'm so tired of encouraging performances that don't get reflected on the scoreboard, where the opposition can seemingly just let us knacker ourselves out before even throwing a punch.Cameo wrote:I was less negative than most about the Ireland game than most but I think he runs away with himself a bit with the optimism in that video. It's nice to believe it might start clicking in to place, but I've fallen in to that trap so many times before.
