As the world becomes smaller, traditions from many countries are cross pollinated. There are big celebrations here for Chinese New Year, Diwali for example. Anyway, I'm not suggesting you should celebrate Halloween if you don't want to, just that it can be fun.

Not sure who you think is trying to force you to support their traditions (Americans presumably?), but I'd suggest those kids knocking on your door are more likely neighborhood kids, they could of course be CIA plants.
Halloween WAS fun until all the crap of trick or treat happened. Now it
Is just another commercial enterprise. Trick or treat is not fun, it is an
annoying piece of crap that should be banned and those who participate
charged with anti social behaviour.
And as for your last paragraph I'd still have the same response wherever
it originatd

Its fun for the kids, my kids look forward to Halloween more than Christmas.

And I'm happy for them & am confident that they are well behaved little JDs but for every little fumloving mite
there's a little brain dead numpty who sees Halloween as an excuse to be a complete & utter knob. It is those that
I'm moaning about. Like I said in an earlier post I leave 1 of my dogs in the front garden to keep the numpties away
while the pleasant families & kids get treats from my better half

I'm sure it's a typo, but a typo of which word? Two choices, one funnier than the other.

Here's a new one.

I just got a work email, from a fellow professional, addressed to me and a colleague. In order to indicate which paragraphs were intended for each of us, the writer "@ed" us. In a fucking email.

& the media that tries really hard to link a white grandpa to ISIS. Why change the gun laws when you can just blame it on a made-up name the US media uses for Saudi-backed Jihadists to justify their imperialist invasions and occupations?

I saw a Facebook page doing the round that was a right-wing, mocked up Antifa page trying to claim this guy was doing Antifa's bidding. What a fucking mess.

Who even thinks to respond that way?

Yet another inane column calling for the Black Ferns to be paid as much as the All Blacks. What a hero! Give that journalist the nobel Peace Price :D

In reality, there are a few thousand adult female players in New Zealand, at most, and over hundred thousand male players.

Here's my idea: Let the Black Ferns play the All Blacks, and if they beat them, you'll have a solid case for equal pay.

Media reports today seem to be mostly asking why a nice old grandpa would have done this, and describing him as a good guy with a gun. Meanwhile no mention of the T word. I guess that's white privilege with bells on.

& the Republicans are saying now is not the time to talk about the gun laws  :? :x If now is not a good time, when the hell is?
