I would really love to see us take control of the game. It would great to see a dominant performance against an actually good team.
Against Ireland we were very good in the first half and nearly lost the game in the second.
We lost to a mediocre French team.
We Played well against Wales in the Second half but they are certainly not at their best at the moment.
We are playing Italy next, and although we could still lose, I wouldn’t consider them to be a good team.

Another huge game needed from the Gray Brothers + Swinson.

And probably the rest of the team?
Good england team. Glad the Vunipolas are on the bench as opposed to starting.

First things first, that made me laugh on an otherwise miserable morning, thank you.
Secondly you are absolutely right in your assessment. I would just like a decent showing (and a win) and to cut all the bulls*it out in the build up. The press are properly getting on my tits.

Still don't know who I want in the 20 shirt.

Only One Edinburgh Player in the starting XV.

That bench is very impressive tbh. George, Vunipola squared, teo and Watson all offer impact. The 3 forwards are all better than those starting.

Besides 18 and 22, I'm pretty happy. Given the strength of that England bench I really would much rather see Welsh and Horne. The Jon Welsh thing really does infuriate me though. First it was Moray Low, who plays for the Exeter 2nds on a good day and now it's Berghan who is 2nd/3rd choice for one of the worst teams in the Pro 12 and cannot scrummage. Welsh in contrast is a starting player for a very good AP team who are turning over some big boys this year.
CDP was the only realistic option for the 20 shirt so I have no complaints. Bradbury is gubbed, Denton hasn't been involved in the training squad & Harley is a 6 who can cover lock and is not an impact player. Fair decision.

A bit to cheer leaderer for me, but not a bad article, think England are helped in the stats as they have played Italy, France and Scotland still to play Italy and its clear once that is taken into account i think Englands problems will be exposed a bit more,
I also dont think they have a hope of beating Ireland in Ireland
I actually think the centres are far more important to the game on Sat them the wide men, one of the reasons we have been so good outside is the centres have made hard yards through the centre, we really need to keep choping and changing between the wide and inside channels to keep the english backs on their toes.

Back row lineup look really interesting
Itoje, Haskell, Hughes
v
Barclay Watson and Wilson
It really is speed over grunt
We will get plenty turnover ball but will be getting battered from the English back row for it, id say we really need the ref to be fast on the whistle for turnovers instead of letting our players get smashed at every ruck.

Btw Itoje will actually be packing down at lock whilst wearing 6 shirt and Lawes will be the actually blindside flanker. I'm still confused why this should be and I'm English

Not sure I agree with that. My feeling was we haven't used Dunbar for hard yards enough.
Checking the stats combined they have carried the ball 25 times this championship and apart from the long run Jones had in space or Dunbars try from 6-7m out they haven't made many yards, hard or otherwise.
Jones has been holding his width really well, for a lot of out tries he is involved in the 15m channels. Hogg has thrived from the space this has helped create.
Jones v JJ could be a great match up at 13.

It is a bit cheerleadery, but interesting when they use the gif to elaborate. Top comment inspired me to get an account just to call him a c*nt.

Not exactly. Visser is incumbent and deserved to keep shirt.
Maitland was either starting or nowhere as we need need a centre on the bench. Other options can cover wing.

So if Hogg goes down, Seymour to 15 and Jones to wing?
