Horne is left handed so he doesn't even have the weak passing off my bad hand excuse.

We have to get some territory and keep possession for more than 90 secs

Yeah. To be honest I think he got a bit over excited more than anything.

To be fair to Horne has been very visible in defence which isn't a strong suit.

That back line movement is just too easy to read now. Time to change halfback I think.

40odd minutes was the time to swap 9s imo. We slowed the tempo then.

We haven't got the ball into the hands of Jones/Kinghorn/Hogg enough this half.

Fraser Brown has given the rest of our guys a masterclass in playing the ruck since he came on

We play rubbish rugby by numbers but it might be enough to go a long way in a world cup

Passing practice for the Scottish lads

Accuracy let us down there. Those three final passes that didn’t go, the frustration is, it’s pretty much unforced, and nothing to do with Ireland. Still, those aside... and the fuuuuuuuucking lineout thought we weren’t as bad as that scoreline reflects.

Scoreline was a bit harsh but Ireland are a very good team. Very different performance than the Wales one though. Gameplan was good, shape was good, defence was generally good just finishing let us down. Finish even two of those chances and the game is very competitive.

Lineout is still an issue. I'm not convinced it was that good in the autumn either, we just surprised teams eith our speed. Just need to keep working at it which they obviously will have been. Wilson going off probably didnt help either

Agreed. Fair play.

I was there last time we won in Cardiff and Dublin. May need to go next time.

Bhatti or Marfo need to start next game. Reid is a man short.

Kinghorn had an encouraging debut. Would be tempted to give him one of the wing berths (form permitting) through to the RWC.

Aye, thought that he went pretty well.

Makes those passes that went over him astonishing when you think that cat is about 6 foot 4. That takes some doing.

He was very good all things considered. He'll learn from Stockdales try but even if he had stayed on the inside I don't think he'd have stopper him.

I'd say four as if Hornes intercept goes to Hogg then it's a clear 2 on 1 and very much on. Very frustrating from a Scottish point of view as there were some good things in there.

Congrats to the Irish. They were better and brutally effective. I think that they'll have to step it up to win in Twickenham though.

Ah in fairness, I don’t think that pass from Horne was going anywhere near Hogg!

We all said it before the game, and I’m sure the team knew it, they needed to be extremely clinical today. Completely unlike the Cardiff game, we managed to create a lot, but unfortunately blew nearly all of it. Thems the breaks.

Thought we did better than expected at the breakdown considering all week I’ve been hearing from my Irish family that we wouldn’t get near their ball.
