Scotland continue their Twickenham-conquering form with a 14-5 win over the USA. Am looking forward to a trophy-laden year.

South Africa and Uganda in the group. SA up next this morning.

Updates, etc, here - http://www.worldrugby.org/sevens-series/?lang=en.

Edit - just found last year's feel-good finish here - http://www.skysports.com/rugby-union/ne ... ng-fashion

Looks like a very similar squad plus George Horne. QF should be the min aim from that group now

Oh well. Finished 21-5 to RSA. Can't complain on that performance.

Still, beat Uganda and we are out the pool into the big trophy (there are only 2 trophies this year - big and wee). Uganda led at HT v USA, but faded away. We should beat them and have a fun day tomorrow.

Thanks General Zod, not a huge fan of 7s but working from home and everyone else is out so it would be rude not have it on in the background ;)

Me too. I believe the official term is "shirking from home".

Uganda at 2.45, if you have any calls to plan...

beat Uganda

Typically 2 tries up, conceded 2 tries and then scored 2

Good game

Took me ages to check who we got in the next round. Was hanging onto that post for ages!

Narrowly lost to England this morning. On v France in a couple of minutes.

Edit - no, it's not. It's the first match this afternoon.

To be accurate (from what's being reported) they fucked up against England this morning. Didn't know their laws and despite having a pen with time up they conceded a score.

Scotland leading by 2, won a penalty with time up on the clock, got a bit excited and kicked it straight out, thinking it was game over. However the new laws state that you have to play the lineout, which they lost, and from which England eventually scored their match winning try. If they had taken the tap, and then kicked it out, then they would've won.

Won in extra time. Horne had a blistering final minute.

Not doing restarts and a dumb intercept almost killed it.

Shows how small things impact a game of 7s.

Fife tracking back and tackling baker even though he scored kept him wider and their kicker missed.

Horne had a good game.
