Or Lets play a game

The game - Pick your Lions squad based on an expected 37 players (this should be leaked before )

0 points for picking Warberton as captain
1 point for naming a correct englishman not named farrell
1 point for naming an irish man not named Sexton or Murray
2 points for a welshman not named North
5 points for a scot not named Hogg

-1 for every scot picked not in the squad
-5 for every welsh not in the squad
-3 for every englishman

+3 for getting the correct number of forwards
+1 for picking the correct number of hookers
+1 for picking correct number of 2nd rows
+10 for picking the right amount of scots
+5 for picking right amount of welsh
+3 for picking right amount of irish
+2 for picking right amount of english

You can mess around with the squad as much as you can but entries must be in before the announcemnt

Good luck Gatland's and may the odds be always in your favour

I would also say the squads could look completly different if you think gatland will play loseball or actually try and outscore the All Blacks

Overall winner will get praised and losers will get called names

I suppose we could have -3 for every irish not in the squad but every irish will start with minus 9 when Rory, Henderson and Ringrose stay at home

Go on then I'll play.

20 forwards, 17 backs.

Hartley, Owens, Best
Vunipola, McGrath, Healy
Cole, Furlong, Sinklair
Launchbury, Itoje, AWJ, Kruis, JGray
Warburton, Faletau, Vunipola, tipuric, stander, Watson (only -1 if nor selected :-))

Murray, Webb, youngs
Ford, Sexton
Farrell, JJ, Henshaw, Ringrose, Dunbar
North, Watson, LWilliams, Seymour, Daly
Halfpenny, Hogg

Way too may Scots, tended to go for known partnerships; English second rows, English and Irish centres too.

According to telegraph only 12 Englishman picked

Will do mine later when I'm on a computer but it's pretty close to big ds without as many scots.

I only put that many in due to your scoring system :-)

SOB will go over Watson and JD2 over Dunbar.

20 forwards, 17 backs. When in doubt, pick Welsh as this is what i think will be picked, not what I'd like to see.

Hartley, Owens, Best
Vunipola, McGrath, Healy
Cole, Furlong, Lee
Lawes, Itoje, AWJ, Kruis, Henderson
Warburton, Faletau, Vunipola, tipuric, stander, SOB

Murray, Webb, Davies
Biggar, Sexton
Farrell, Davies, Henshaw, Teo, Williams
North, Watson, LWilliams, Maitland, Daly
Halfpenny, Hogg

The beeb is reporting that he's picking 11 welshies. This feels a little bit too much like 2005, where SCW picked too many players cause he knew them.

Despite finishing fifth in the Six Nations, Wales are still set for a strong contingent of up to 11 players, with the likes of Alun Wyn Jones, prospective captain Sam Warburton, Taulupe Faletau, Rhys Webb, Jonathan Davies and George North among those highly likely to be included.

Conversely, winning three of their five matches in the Championship seems unlikely to have helped Scotland's representatives, with full-back Stuart Hogg the only selection certainty.

It's a tricky one. In many cases we are talking about taking 3rd choice in many positions.

Of the Welsh I'd probably take:
Owens
Faletau
Warburton
Tipuric
When
Williams L
North
Halfpenny

That's 8. If you add AWJ, and a couple others it quickly becomes 11.

I have mixed feelings about H'penny. On the one hand I know he is a great player but on the other hand I don't think he has done anything near enough this season to justify a spot. If he goes he go will go on past glory/reliable place kicking.

Even on this year's form I'd take him over Kearney and Brown.

He's probably be behind LWilliams and be 3rd choice FB in my party though.

I've heard Duncan Taylor's name being mentioned. Late runner, but playing well for Sarries and can play 11-15.
