Royal High Costorphine break up

From the article, it looks like some of the FP crowd want to go it alone, although the comments strongly hint that there are groups within the club that have never seen eye to eye. Seems daft to me that in these times clubs are splitting up when the rest of us are struggling to hold it all together.
Anyone close to this?

Not a good sign. Will likely see Corstorphine getting humped in a league they are ill equipped for.

I see from the comments that the authority of even this statement has been called into question. What a mess. I fear that this is not going to end well.

So, they have split up. What is left of RHC retain the league position. However due to a large number of their players leaving to join the newly formed Barnton RFC, RHC have asked to be relegated to Edinburgh 1. The newly formed Barnton RFC will play in Edinburgh 2 and must be huge favourites to go up and maybe win the bowl too.
This change impacts Caley 1 as Perthshire who finished 10th in National 3 are reinstated and Carnoustie who were relegated from Caley 1 are reinstated to that league.

Will be an interesting local derby....
Looks like Perthshire have lucked out there, as relegation from the National League to a Regional League usually carries a substantial penalty in player retention/attraction and non-renewed sponsorship.
On a personal note, I'm not devastated at us not having to travel to Carnoustie next season, although I understood that the fixture lists were already out, so I guess there will have to be a revision issued.

In theory it is good for us too. Carnoustie should be weaker than Perthshire.

I think it will be a case of Carnoustie taking Perthshires fixtures and the same for whichever side replaced carnoustie.
