Welsh Rugby Union's Senior Player Selection Policy for 2017/18

Since the new season is upon us next month it will be interesting to see which players will be part of the Welsh Rugby Union's Senior Player Selection Policy for the 2017/18 season.

I beleive for this and the next season the number being 4 up to the World Cup before potentially dropping back to 2.

There are a few that do not come under the policy such as Charteris and Francis and I believe Young as they were never offered Welsh regional contracts.

So we have a few people that are still captured

North
Roberts
Williams
Falateu

There are a few others that may be on previous years consideration ...but really unlikely to be seen in Welsh colours again.

Hibbard

So if it happens with Halfpenny potentially joining the Scarlets it does not look as if anyone will be really restricted

Up to 4 exceptions? It hardly seems worth having a "rule" as slack as this.
