Long shot but are the SRU releasing any more tickets for the home games?

I'm looking to go to the England game with 3 others - relatively last minute decision. Have great corporate contacts for Twicks but sadly not Murrayfield.

What are the options? Happy to pay viagogo prices but if the SRU may release more tickets it'd be worth waiting.

They normally do, but probably won’t advertise it all that much, there will be returns. England game tickets are fucking hard to come by. I imagine it’ll be even harder next year. You might want to lean on some of the cats on here that still play club rugby in Scotland.

Worst case, I’ve never once failed to get a ticket for face value in a pub before the game, but if you are coming from down south it means traveling on spec.

Thanks EinE. What would face value be for a typical England ticket? Same as the others? Or do the SRU adapt pricing based on demand?

Coming up empty handed not really an option as suspect it will be harder to get a 4 tickets than 1 or 2.

Could be quite high ( >£60) I sacked off this match in favour of trips to wales and Ireland. Doubt you’ll get 4 together unless you pay through the nose via our SRU-endorsed official ticket tout.

An idea may just be to phone The Edinburgh Rugby ticker line and see if you can talk to someone about the likelihood of 6N tickets, as it’s the same people as sell Scotland tickets I think. I did that last year and they talked through the likelihood of 6 Nations tickets as well as the Enbra match I was interested in.

The face value ticket prices are as follows (according to our club application form):
Gold Sections £90
Silver Section £67
Bronze Sections £50

I haven't ordered any either, and the deadline for our club application is passed. Not that we get all we ask for in our allocation anyway...

Cheap as chips when to compare to viagogo... £238 cheapest, £350 range very common.

This is a bit of a stretch given the traffic but does anyone have any spare Calcutta cup tickets in any quantity going? I managed to secure a couple but not enough for the entire party.

I think there's due to be another release in the next week or 2

Cheers mate but if it's anything like today's release it won't be very helpful to me. My job simply doesn't allow me to sit refreshing a ticket site at 10AM on a Tuesday! I managed to have a go at 1.30 with no luck - even now the ticket system acts like there are tickets available in Silver/Gold by allowing you to select them but doesn't allow you to purchase them.

That could be the release I was thinking of tbh.

call the ticket office and say your not near a computer , its usually possible to get tickets pretty fast that way

Thought I'd bump this rather than start a new thread. Will be driving up & leaving my car during the game +/- a couple of hours before and after the game.

Any recommendations? Normally I'd park in Sainsburys and buy a few bits in case I did get pulled but that's always been in the summer when footfall is lower. Is that feasible?

Not really best bet is to park along the tram or bus route and get into the game. About an hour after the game you can get a tram home.

I always park at the holiday inn at blackball. Its a little bit of a walk over the hill but it's away from all of the traffic and dead easy to head out of town that way (though I used to park there when heading north admittedly)

I'd park at one of the P+Rs probably riccarton and get the 25 in.

If you are desperate look up Sinclair place. When I lived there two years ago there was no reserved parking so 1st come 1st served on the wee quiet street. It's just the other side of the Sainsbury's.

Or Ingliston P&R if coming from North/West and get either the tram or a bewildering array of busses.

Cheers for the suggestions chaps. Sinclair place looks risky - can't street view the street itself so I assume it's residents only? Either way it has double yellows in view, a couple of blurred out signs (residents only perhaps...) and I would have thought there would be some kind of restrictions in place around Murrayfield on match day?

Ingliston P&R surely, not the airport. Parking at Ingliston is free and the fare is only £1.60, whereas airport parking costs a kidney and the tram fare is £5.50 for one extra stop.

When I lived there the parking spaces were for residents but on street was 1st come 1st serve.

Does look like private property type signs right enough.

If you are coming from the south if stop at riccarton. 25 bus is one of the most regular in the city and if you walk to gorgie road after it should be quick enough back too.

I wouldn't bother with the tram, buses are far quicker in Edinburgh.

Id park at Edinburgh Park for free and then jump on a tram, after the game walk to haymarket and get a tram back out of town
