Another wee story from the rugby archives

How often have we had Scots 9 and 10 touring with the Lions?

"Black was a medical student at Edinburgh University when called up by the Lions for that 1950 trip. His friend and fellow medic Ranald Macdonald, a stand-off, also made the touring party. But instead of partnering Macdonald in the Tests, Black’s fly-half was the great Irish out-half Jack Kyle"

Armstrong & Chalmers in 1989 I think. Chalmers played 1st test when the Lions failed to get out of bed.
Paul Dean then got injured, Rob Andrew was called up & replaced Chalmers for the 2nd test.

Hastings & Peter Dods both toured as full back even though Gavin missed the entire 5 nations through injury.
Would never get selected now as he is a) Scottish and b) that would make 2 of them.

Calder captained. Jeffrey toured but didn't play a test. Neither did Andy Robinson due to form of Teague & Richards.
Tukalo should probably have toured but Chris Oti went on the back of scoring a hat-trick against Ireland. (Though so did Iwan it should be said)
