June Tests - fixtures, predictions & results

There's a shitload of rugby on. I thought a fred summarising it all might be useful. Obviously the bigger games can have their own freds, too.
If you're properly set up with the right subscriptions/streams, you could technically watch test rugby for about 15 hours over the weekend. Here's the fixture list* (NZ time). My predicted winners in bold.
Sat, Jun 9
13:00: Tonga v Georgia, ANZ Stadium, Fiji
15:30: Fiji v Samoa, ANZ Stadium, Fiji
17:45: Japan v Italy, Oita Stadium
19:35: New Zealand v France, Eden Park
22:00: Australia v Ireland, Suncorp Stadium
Sun, Jun 10
03:05: South Africa v England, Emirates Airlines Park
07:40: Argentina v Wales, Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario
12:00: USA v Russia, Dick's Sporting Goods Park
13:00: Canada v Scotland, The Commonwealth Stadium
*Excluding minor European and American fixtures - see the Global Results thread for that.

Japan U20s very nearly just rolled Wales. I'd back the adults over Italy in a home game, particularly building up to a world cup hosting. SA England will be an interesting one. Bothe are a bit naif at the moment and Eddie Jones has made some classic selections. Samoa need to step up, because Fiji will be up for it. If we can't counter France running directly at us and intermittently writhing in comic pain on the floor, I will be pissed oof.

Yep. Boks v Eng is the most interesting. Eddie has gone full fuck you on the selections (Brown on the wing? Shields covering lock?) and I understand England are not camped at altitude. That’s madness. The question is whether SA have got it together enough to take advantage.

The recent Bok-France series in SA featured 240 minutes of both protagonists running full tilt directly at each other in the most uninspiring fashion. New coach and all now, and I would wager the most red meat-blinded strategist in South Africa could see that Mike Brown on the wing is good for at least two set move tries.

Tonga v. Georgia - Yep
Fiji v. Samoa - Dunno, Samoa?
Japan v. Italy - Yep
NZ v. France - Yep
Oz v. Ireland - Tough one. Australia could pounce on a jaded Irish team nearing the end of their season, but I think Ireland will take this one.

RSA v. Eng - Another tough one. Both teams have been out of sorts, but I think the Saffers have the team to beat the English.
Argentina v. Wales - Yep
USA v. Russia - USA! USA! USA!
Canada v. Scotland - Yep.

Already did mine yesterday on the Global Results thread. There's a few more fixtures than this as well.

Sees me off to a 2-0 start, though I was a little generous with my margins, predicting 6 & 10 point differentials.

Good start to Karl’s test career. French fronting up well and carrying their d through from the 6N.

Very harsh. In that, it’s not a yellow.

French are knackered. The chase to stop a quick lineout was non-existant.

Damage is done by a shoulder to the head. If the previous was a yellow, this should be red..

Ref should have given Cane a yellow there if he is to be consistent.

Ouch. Going on precedent then Cane should be seeing yellow.

S**t far too much agreement. I need to think of something inflammatory to say.
How B Barrett won player a year ahead of Owen Test Match Ice Man Farrell I’ll never know.

See that Ioane try? That is what will be happening on Mike Brown's wing all day long in SA.

How many points during the sin bin? Pearce has really ****ed up. Shame as outside of that he’s done well on debut.
