I think Youngs is way behind Davies and quite possibly Laidlaw, not to mention Webb.

Id have sexton ahead of biggar and itoje at 6 is interesting

Agreed on Davis, he's a superb halfback.

I'd go with sexton at fly half too.

Surely Murray starts with Davies on the bench for late game impact?

AWJ is only 30. Tough paper round.

I like youngs, nippy wee 9 who on front foot is great, possibly against nz you want an older head.

Youngs is absolutely awful. Are you serious?

I reckon Webb could be number 1. Youngs is very inconsistent and Davies passing was horrible yesterday. Webb has the alround game and is a bit more of a threat than murray

Awj would still be a favourite to start but everyone has second row contenders. All the English ones, the grays, charteris for wales and Henderson for Ireland. We're not short of young athletic giants!

Not sure about the wings selected above. North is back on form and Seymour has been great (how many tries is it in his few tests?) and is probably the best under the high ball than any of the wings that took to the field yesterday.

Henderson, like many decent Irish players, is on the long term injury list. It's nice of you to try to shoe-horn an Irishman in there but if we're basing it on who's actually played well in recent times - particularly the 6N - then he along with Healy, POM, SOB, and Tommy Bowe has to be left out.

Annoying as fuck when people just throw one or two of your players into a lions squad as a token jesture isn't it...?

Not particularly. I see it as a misplaced kindness.

I've had to eat humble pie regarding Hogg this 6N and it is great to see him putting in these kind of performances but... if it is Gatland picking the Lions I can't see Hogg being in the starting 15. He is still quite defensively suspect and misses last gasp tackles. I can just see Gatland picking someone more reliable and less spectacular.

Wow, I really didn't read your post correctly at all. Sorry Eugue, in my defence I'm working on giving myself a once in every 10 years hangover.

Are you mental? Itoje was mom at 4 and you put him at 6? Hardie over Warburton? 'king Youngs? No one has stood out at 13 apart from JD who's gradually becoming one of the best 13s playing intl rugby? Hogg at 15?
Lay off th sauce brother.

Who would you pick at 15 over Hogg?

Slightly ironic coming from you... Mike Brown has been the best fb in the 6n this year imo. Hogg is developing very well, proving me wrong in the process im v happy to admit, but he still makes a few mistakes. Brown may not have Hogg's pace but he's needle sharp, rock solid and more of a team player than Hogg.

Itoje is a lot more mobile than others, put him somewhere it can be used more
Hardie has had a better 6N than Warburton and a menace,
Can't agree that JD has been stand out or brown , Hogg has been excellent every game and created some great tries

Fair enough. In all honesty I can see your point about all if them, without necessarily agreeing, apart from Hardie. I think he's the best available to us, but he's still a long way behind Warburton.

i dunno if Hardie is ahead of him but I think Warburton is a little overrated. Has the odd outstanding game but doesnt do enough it a lot of games for me to warrant his reputation. Still a good player but don't think there is a standout 7 at the moment
