Wish there could be a boycott of this one, but oh well, it is what it is.

Built on the back of horrendous abuse of labour. Don't understand why this has been allowed.

Bit pointless for one person to make a stand here...

I'll just watch it illegally instead ;)

lol.

I'm not going to seek the matches out, as a lot of them will fall during work hours, I imagine. And England are boring. I'd much rather watch my own team, a bus stop in Hounslow, beat the European Champions 4-1 at their home. :D

Quite the cop out. You sound like a climate change sceptic saying there’s no point turning his lights off when China blah, blah, blah.
Watching illegally is not much better…. just supporting a different crime.

You're right.

Not much I can do, though, except not watch, and I probably won't watch much of it. But I have a son who is a sport nut, who will want to watch it. And, well, he comes first

Ha! Sounds very much like how my World Cup will go!

NZ are as dull as fuck and my second team, Italy, are out so couldn't give a flying fork. Quatar got all those flash facilities built on the back of paying <1$/day to workers. Fuck them.

Japan and Croatia are both through, so hooray for me.

Still won't be watching this though, on general principle.

Southgate's picks:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63585869
staying loyal to his favourites, even though quite a few are recovering from injury, not getting much game time at their clubs or are currently out of form.
At least this time not many people expect Eng to go much further than the Group stages.

Aptly named 'Bud zero' still to be widely available, reportedly.

I'm going to go on the record here and state, fuck this tournament. Why have these human rights-abusing monsters been awarded this?

No one should have to drink Bud Zero.

Don't blame it on the Bud piss.
Don't blame it on the football.
Don't blame it on the players.
Blame it on FIFA.

hopeless reffing. We take a player off concussed, ref doesn't let a sub come on for 2 minutes, having previously allowed a badly injured keeper to play on.

I was going to go with something like you'd already sold your soul for your pension pot, but I see you beat me to it ;)

It's not the watching instead of working that's the issue, it's the corruption. I just can't bring myself to have any positive thoughts about this Corruption Cup, and I think that two fingers need to be stuck up to FIFA in whatever way is possible.

Arf in/arf out me..(just to stretch things a bit further.)
Spirited riposte from Wales tonight.
USA looked strong but either not fit or tournament savvy.
Eng may have unearthed a get out o'jail card in Bellingham.

Fifa's loss is our gain
