Scotland v Tonga (Sun/Mon)

Tonga have been a bit of a hot mess lately. Scotland can afford to put out their 1st XV, with Romania up next, and still rest them before the crunch match v Ireland. Tonga may well do the same (they have little real hope v SA next round) and have a good crack at the automatic qualifying spot. If Scotland keep their heads they should be relatively comfortable though.

My word, did not have Kinghorn down as being that fast.

Wow, Kinghorn, I honestly don't know how he managed not to score that. Great pace and vision from the kicker

Tmo overrules for a noarms tackle seconds after Healy says that the Tongan tackling is all legal. Love it

He knows.
Good on Scotland getting Ritchie straight off for an HIA.

Can't see any reason that won't be a red.

BP before half time is good, just need to seal the win.
Russell needs to pick and choose his wife miss passes better, the one for Steyns try was great, the others not so much.
DVDM is starting to annoy me, he seems to think he's bigger and stronger than anyone else. Sure, his size should be an asset but only if he uses it properly and he just isn't.
Otherwise pretty decent. Not in the same league as Ore or SA obvs, but still pretty good

Genuinely have no idea what is going on with head shots any more.

Yeah we’ve looked thoroughly like the tier 2 minnows in this group compared to the game last night. Some good running but passing and decision making has utterly gone to shit.

Knock on ignored there no? Surely the Scotland 8 pushes that forwards?

Direct head punches or stamps required if you’re playing Scotland, didn’t you know?

What were you saying?
Darcy is still my favourite though, no idea how he got us on the front door there

Tonga are infuriating aren't they? The number of good positions lost through basic skills failures under not much pressure.

I was really pleased for Darcy. He suffers by comparison with Duhan, but has roughly the same number of tries. He also plays the kind of rugby I like.
Scotland are lucky to have two impressive wingers, both of whom can be game changers.

You can tell the Sco head coach was a decent playmaker and the Eng head coach was a tight forward - Sco play an attacking brand and have some cracking backs. The Sco/Ire game will be a humdinger, but Ire are on a roll.
