According to the Fail, he’s heading for Leicester. Big loss for the Dragons, Wainwright has been great for us throughout the years. Apparently he wants to experience something new and at 28 I can’t blame him for that.

He's given years to the Dragons so he can't be blamed, and until the WRU stop cowering and make a decision, Cardiff is the only other option in Wales anyway.
The Dragons will be fine. Very soon there'll be an entire regional squad on the market.

That's a shame. I like Wainwright, despite an utterly risible haircut. He always grafts, and I like that in a BRF. Still, on the bright side, it gives Faletau somewhere to go when he decides he's had enough of van Zyl fucking everything up.

Massive game from Wainwright tonight as Dragons out Newcastle away, pretty comfortably in the end.

He was very impressive tonight, strong and direct.
Dragons were very disciplined, they looked like a well trained side.Tthere was good thinking and good decision making.

I was really pleased that after gifting two easy tries to Newcastle through trying to play rugby, they didn’t go into their shells and dominated the second half.
That’s 4 home wins on the trot and 4 from the last 6 games. Gutting that last week was such a stuffing, but I think that demonstrates that a) we don’t travel well and b) we have no depth so any squad rotation and we struggle.
