What just happened.
5 try demolition of Newcastle by the Dragons. Did not expect that

A huge, clear cut victory. They were best in all departments. O'Brien was deservedly man of the match.

2nd string Newcastle side I presume (and yeah, so used to losing that I cannot accept on face value)

Still had to beat what was in front of them and we totally dominated. Annoying to gift two tries but a great performance and that’s now 4 home games won, three with bonus points.
At some point, pundits might acknowledge that the Dragons are improved this season, albeit with no depth and agenda cy to travel really badly (as per last weekend).

I thought they'd phuqued it at HT after the most Dragons half you could hope to see - totally dominant, couldn't finish, then scored two own-tries in the final thirty seconds.
But it looks like the flash in the pan is more of a dash than a dot. Wainwright & Keddie bossed it, Owen looked classy, and as for O'Brien; I know he's old and not terribly exciting but, given the situation at full-back , do we seriously think he couldn't do a job for Wales? Perhaps not if we were seriously trying to beat England and France... but when we're hoping not to lose to Italy and Scotland?

O’Brien has been good for a few years now at FB. I think his time has gone and he’s never been as exciting as a Murray type player, but he could still do a job.

Excellent effort from scarlets after losing jake ball early and a penalty count of 11-1 at one point, wasn't completely engaged with this even most of the pens were at scrum time seems a bit ott?

Just read reports and yeah, good effort. Just need to show more of that in the league

Cardiff were better than the one-sided score vs Exeter suggests. There was a fantastic try by Bowen with a great try assist from Lloyd that was disallowed for a 50-50 call on an earlier knock-on.
Ospreys were unlucky to end up on the wrong side of a very even match with Montpellier. I guess neither club threw all their resources at this one.

Find it really suspicious that Perpignan and Lions managed to draw. Would really be crying foul if it was a draw with a try BP each
