To be fair, this is the last straw. Hungary was the only country to actually register the migrants when they arrived, as by EU law they should be registered in the first EU country they arrive in.

But these migrants had already come through Greece, and the government had been on and on to the EU about it without a single answer.

From the report I read I got the feeling that by the time they've reached Hungary, these refugees have been travelling in tough conditions for quite a long time and are generally a pretty bedraggled and fed up crowd. For them, clearing their own litter is just a step too far. Which the good denizens of Hungary are finding very annoying.
I got a very interesting picture of Hungary from the vox pops........the entire range of population from 16-80 were interviewed and all said the same thing. They weren't nasty about it.....they just said no and mentioned the litter.
They reminded me of Nordic people.

My mother and uncle have German friends who live on the Austrian/German border. Their town is a mess but their biggest issue is the demographic of the migrants. They weren't happy with the sheer number of 20 and 30 something young men who always seem to be at the front of the queue, in front of the elderly and young families, when the buses arrived to transport the migrants to the cities. They were happy to help those who were in desperate need but their patience and sympathy has been eroded by those they think are taking the piss. That they had devastating floods about a month ago was a huge kick in the teeth.
