Pro-12 looks to the States

Interesting idea but not sure how it would work. Hasn't a rugby pro-leauge just started in the US and where would they find the players to make a competitive side?

Not necessarily directly comparable but Japan has a pro domestic league and a super rugby side. Where there is a will there is a way.

I have no problem with this sort of approach with options for US, Canada, Georgia, Romania, Spain, Russia etc. Why not. I have long thought that a NFL type league structure would suit the PRO12, giving the organisers the opportunity to effectively manage the number of games played, keeping the regional rivalries (we would need to push to 4 Scottish teams) and mixing up inter divisional match ups so that say over 3 seasons everyone gets to play everyone else. We do need to try and take advantage of any growth in the game to increase value!
